Who loves football? We do! Landon is loving his flag football team he is on. We finally got his jersey. They didn't do actual team jerseys. They did solid colors and let the kids pick who. Of course Landon's were black, and the kids picked the Steelers. Ew. Oh well, they were all happy!
The Steelers had their first game on the 13th, and one this weekend. They lost both. The first game was close, this last game, they got stomped. We are playing both this base and Ft. Carson. This weekend we went to Carson, and let's just say, their team had a lot of 9 year olds, we had a lot of 7 year olds. They were like pro's out there. But, it's all in fun. Landon had a great time. We enjoyed yelling from the sidelines and cheering them on. It was a nice hot day, so Greg and I came home with some sun burns. Oops.
Landon was the center, so he got to hike the ball, and he really liked that.
Owen always has fun running around with his buddy Jace. Those two. So silly and full of energy.
He was so happy. He had a great time at his first football game. (That one was here at Pete)
It's funny how hard it has been for Landon to get used to the mouth guard. He is about 10 times better with it now. We got the nice one you heat up and mild to your mouth. Hopefully he won't bite through it.
Yesterday our game was against Ft. Carson, the Army base. It was SUCH a beautiful day. The mountains in the back ground. So pretty here.
We stopped to get them lunch, and were early so watched the teams that were already playing. I got a knot in my stomach. They seemed a lot bigger, and were REALLY good.
It was a little different. Much more fast past then the previous week. And a little more chaotic. We lost a coach this week, him and his wife had some drama, and they ended up quitting. SO, the head coach was trying to coach 7-9 year old by himself.
He's a great coach! We really like him. This week he's asked some parents to help, he needs as many hands as he can get!
So our Saturday's are spent playing football right now. We are all about it, and enjoying every minute. Way to go Landon, and way to go Steelers!
