Our Saturday consisted of a wide variety of activities. Greg made us breakfast, whole wheat waffles and bacon. Yum! Then we just enjoyed our Saturday morning at home. We eventually made it out, and got some paint samples from Lowe's.
Now, we found a color we liked, got it home (a sample) and realized it was way too close to our trim color. So darn. We ate lunch, then Landon went out and rode his bike, I went through some totes in the garage and got a pile of stuff together to take to the Salvation Army.
Here is what we've been up to in pictures the past few days.
It was pretty cold all week, and today was really nice out.
After riding his bike we went and dropped the stuff off and then stopped at Sonic for happy hour. Landon and Greg got slushes, and I got a diet coke.
We then went to Home Depot and got air filters for our house and got another paint sample. This time with green hue, and tried it out.
Now that I am looking at it, I like the dark brown. We liked both at the time, but thought we would do something different and go with the green one.
In other news, we got rid of our TV stand for our bedroom, remember our big moving box from Germany we had our TV sitting on? Well, we got rid of it.
I know, the TV looks TINY, and the cords look awful, I just wanted to show you, we feel kinda like grown up now, no more ghetto box furniture. By the way, we have a wonderful box if you need it, it's free to a good home that is going to take good care of it! haha
I updated some frames around the house.
And Greg replaced the door knobs in the kitchen area! He did our back door, the garage door, the door leading to the laundry room, the pantry door and closet door! Now all that is left is our room! It's slowly coming together!
Back to the painting, we taped the bathroom up...
Went and ate dinner at Texas Roadhouse, and then went to Home Depot and got a gallon of paint and some supplies and went to work.
Landon enjoyed helping....but had a hard time keeping his hands out of the paint...
We painted the front half of the bathroom, and we are still ify about it. We don't know if we like it or not. Why is it so hard to pick a paint color? It is SO hard! I like neutral colors, Greg likes bold colors, I guess I am just more blah!
We will wait till morning to see if we like the paint or not before we paint the other half. How do you decide on paint? I didn't realize it was going to be so hard. I guess I shouldn't worry about it too much, with the Military who knows how long we are going to be here!
