Happy Memorial Day! It's one of those holiday's that makes me choke up and puts a huge knot in my throat. Thank-you to all the service men and women for protecting us and sacrificing your lives for us. Days like today make me even prouder of Greg, and him serving in the Air Force.
I've enjoyed my last day off as much as possible. Our skin is sun kissed, we smell like sunscreen and have dirty feet. Landon has Popsicle stains on his shirt, and the towels are hanging out to dry. We've got pictures playing by the pool, playing in the mud, and having fun swinging and playing at the playground.
We even washed both cars this afternoon. Well I did. Landon was very prissy outside. He wanted to sit and watch me, he did not want to get wet, and every little bug that flew near him he would run and scream. He just wasn't feeling the car washing party. I had to work fast, he was up under my feet, tripping over the hose, getting whacked with the hose and occasionally getting wet and yelling at me for it. What a stinker. Usually he enjoys stuff like that. Not today. Go figure right?
So it's back to the grind tomorrow. I am looking forward to getting back on track and hitting the gym. I am on my last pill of medicine today, and will be done. I am feeling a lot better too! Landon has a field trip tomorrow to the May Farm. I know he is going to love it, if he can stand the heat. We are going to have 100 temps probably most of the week. We were outside this morning when we went to the park, it was 1015, and it was like 86 out already. It sure felt hotter than that, dang humidity! I guess I can't complain, Greg said it's 110 there by 10am. I can't imagine....
