Fun in the sun

It's always nice to have company. Being so far from family really stinks, so whenever family is around, even if it's just for a weekend, it's great.

Wednesday night in to Thursday morning last week Owen was up all night. Screaming, crying, not sleeping. Something was wrong. I was hesitant on taking him to the doctors since we were just there for his well baby check up. But something was wrong. I got up Thursday morning, after maybe 4 hours of sleep and called the appointment line. Luckily they were able to get me in at 0730. I had to leave to get my dad from the airport in Denver that morning as well, their flight came in at 1015am. So I rushed to get ready, Greg took Landon to school and I took Owen. Sure enough, he had a pretty bad ear infection in his right ear. Poor guy. We were waiting at the pharmacy for his RX and he as due for meds and really fussing. I gave him motrin and then his bottle, Next thing I knew, he vomited all over himself and me. Oh no. I tried to stay calm and get him wiped down. I didn't want to leave the pharmacy waiting area in case they called our number. Sure enough, they called it. I got his stuff and we rushed home. I called Greg and told him I didn't think I could take him with me to Denver, not with all the elevation driving and having an ear infection and now he threw up. Greg took the day off, and I headed to Denver.

It was a nice quiet drive for me. We hung out around the house when they got here, picked Landon up from school and I made chicken spaghetti with bread for dinner. Friday we took Landon to school and then did some shopping. Landon had a BBQ at school so we went and ate lunch with him!

(Landon is in the jeans)

After that we did some more shopping and then went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner, then went glow golfing afterwards. Fun day! During our down time at the house we spent a lot of time outside, Landon had Grandpa jumping on the trampoline....

Saturday we headed to Garden of the Gods to walk around. The weather was so nice. My camera died right when we got there, damn thing. Good thing we have camera phones now.

We drove through Manitou Springs, which was busy busy and then had some lunch at Panera. We stopped at Sam's to get some ribs, then came home and spent some more time hanging out out back.

They bought me cornhole for my birthday, and we had a great time playing it all weekend. So fun, I've been wanting to make one, but Sam's had them!

10 Months

Owen Gregor, you were 10 months old on Friday April 26th!

Grandpa Rick and Grandma Alma were here visiting, so I got some pictures but just didn't get on the computer to blog!

SO what are you up to these days?

~ You are 19.1 lbs now

~ You wear a size three diaper still, but I think a 4 is in your near future. I've been putting you in 12 month clothes now. I can't believe they fit you. You are still wearing some 6 month onesis and lots of 9 month clothes.

~ We were at the doctors last Thursday before we went to the airport and you had a bad ear infection in your right ear. That's why your poor eyes are swollen.

~ You go to bed at 7 still and sleep til about 6-630am. You mostly sleep through the night, some nights you'll wake to eat and usually go right back to sleep.

~ You've been taking some good naps during the day. The weekend you were taking 2 hour naps, it was great.

~ You are in to everything! You love to open the cabinets and pull everything out. You love to open and close doors and the cabinets. If the fridge is open you go right for it. You are obsessed with cords.

~ You scream, and scream loud, you are testing your voice out. It's not a cry scream, it's a let's see exactly how loud my voice is with a HUGE smile on your face.

~ You stand on everything and try to climb. You are pretty graceful and careful.

~ You just adore Landon. You love to give him kisses and get on top of him. You watch him like hawk and want to be where he is at.

~Eating: You drink a 6oz bottle every three hours. You are eating some table foods and some baby foods. It's hit or miss with you, especially since you've been sick again. I hope it gets better.

~ You love to be outside. You love the trampoline and you love to go for walks, as long as we don't stop.

~ You hate when it's windy or there is a breeze outside, it makes you grouchy.

~ You still love your baths and splashing like crazy. Mommy always ends up just as wet as you.

~ Your skin is really bad again. I really dislike eczema. Your poor legs have broken out, as well as your arms. I feel so bad and am trying so hard to get it to go away. It's just not.

It's been a tough week with you being sick, but you are coming around. When you are feeling great you are such a happy guy, smiling, talking and getting in to everything. Your hair is starting to come in and you are just so sweet. Mommy, Daddy and Landon love you to pieces!

Sorry!

Sorry for the unplanned blogging break. Greg was gone for two weeks in Maryland and things were busy around here. I've definitely got used to having him home all the time and having help. The first week he was gone Owen was sleeping SO bad. It made for some long days, and by the time the boys were out for the night, I headed straight to bed with them. I didn't know how much sleep I would be getting!

Owen had his 9 month well baby check on the 11th. His check up was great. He is now 19lbs and moving right along. His next check up wont' be til a year, and then he will get more shots. I was dreading his appointment because I thought he was going to get shots, SO SO SO glad I was wrong. He was already not sleeping well.

This boy is in to EVERYTHING! Oh my. And he is fast. I pretty much spent my mornings while Landon was at school clearing out cabinets and rearranging everything.

Landon was nosy, but I don't think this nosy. That or I just don't remember.

On April 12th, Greg and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary  Of course he was gone. What's new huh? It seems with the Air Force they are always gone. We are rarely together on our anniversary so I guess I've gotten used to it. Greg had an Edible Arrangement sent to me, YUM O!

It was a nice surprise. He also attempted to send flowers, but, the flower shop took the order from FTD, then stated they couldn't get on base, that I wouldn't answer my phone. All a bunch of bull. So we got our money back. He was going to get more, but I told him not to worry about it.

Owen also cut two more teeth. Two on top. He now has 4 teeth. Explains the crazy sleeping patterns he was having. But, him not sleeping at night made it to where he would actually take a decent nap during the day.

We've been spending a lot of time upstairs. I cleaned out Owen's closet and got out a lot of Landon's toys and both of them have been enjoying playing, and in the closet of all places! lol.

I also hung some photos in the bathroom.....

Owen is getting better at eating. He loves crackers, puffs, blueberries, peas and chicken nuggets and raviolis (The Gerber Graduates ones). I keep on giving him food, he is starting to try more of the food, and sometimes, just sometimes, he will let me feed him with a spoon. He also enjoys frozen bananas in his teether thing.

Landon had another soccer practice and game last week. We froze our hineys off at his practice, it was COLD outside. His game the next day was in the gym. He is doing great and LOVING it.

We had some nasty cold weather and snow mid week last week. I'm over the snow. OVER IT. It can rain, be cold, whatever, just stop snowing. Ugh! Sabrina came down Thursday to hang out with us, and went with us to Landon's art night at school.

It was insanely packed and kids running everywhere. WE didn't last too long. Friday Sabrina and I went shopping and hung out, it was nice to have her here. Plus we enjoyed some nice wine Thursday night.

Saturday we went to get Greg at the airport. The boys were really happy to see him.

Greg had a gift waiting for him. Since it was our 10  year anniversary it was tin. I put tin foil instead of tissue paper.....

I also wrapped his gift (A Garmin watch) in tin foil.

I made a pot roast in the crock pot and some cauliflower baked in cheese, almost like a twice baked potato. AHHHHMAZING! Dinner was so tasty.

Both recipes I got on Pinterest. I've made the roast before, can't go wrong with it.

We went to a furniture store on Sunday and walked out purchasing and entertainment center. Sigh, it's being delivered today.

I haven't been to good at taking pitcture. I've been taking them, just not as many. The other night I went to take some photos of the boys, I took a picture of Owen eating and then the camera went flying out of my hand........

And now I don't have a camera, it's kaput. What is with me and camera's? I've been so good with this one, it hasn't been dropped or anything. Perfect size, and then it went flying......

Now I'm getting ready for our delivery of our entertainment center, Landon's soccer game tonight, and company coming in Thursday for the weekend! SO excited. And, Owen will be 10 month on Friday. I can't believe it.

First Game

Well despite our 'blizzard' conditions and schools being closed and everything on delay, Landon still had his first soccer game at 5pm!

Now we didn't get the snow we were supposed to get, we got some, but the wind. The wind was and still is terrible. Last night when I went to bed it was at 58mph! My trampoline made it, it moved all the way to the fence and I am hoping it stays wedged there. It's in the negatives outside right now, and the wind is still howling away.....I thought it was spring time??

Any who, it was nice to get out of the house and watch Landon play. It was the cutest thing ever let me tell you. The kids were so cute, so confused and having a great time.

Landon is number 3, just in case you were wondering.

Owen liked watching his cool big brother.

And when they switched out players Landon was ok with that. He said he needed to 'take a break' and have some water. So silly.

They won, 1-0, one of the boys on his team scored. It was very cute and a very proud moment to see their faces when it happened.

SO proud of my little Dragon. He's already asking when he goes back. He loves it. I hate that it's one practice a week and one game a week. But, it's ok, he still learning!
