It's a......

I had my 20wk ultrasound today at 1! I got off work and 5 minutes in to my drive home my phone rang. It was my Doctors office. They needed to reschedule due to an emergency and asked if I could come in at 4. Grr! I was pretty bummed, but at least I was able to get in today.

Just when I was getting off the hwy they called and asked if I could come in at 330. Of course! Silly question. Those few hours seemed to take FOREVER!

We of course got taken back and got asked basic questions then asked if we wanted to know the gender. The baby's head is high up, towards my left side and bottom down towards my right. The legs were closed but she kinda got a peek, asked if we wanted a boy? She wasn't 100% since the legs were closed. She looked around and then went back, the baby quickly opened the legs and she said,

"It's a boy!"

Yay! I knew it was a boy. I had a feeling the whole time. I wanted a girl, heck, we all wanted a girl, but when she said boy I felt a sense of relief and felt so much better. Landon was sad, He buried his head in Greg's chest. Then we got to see the face head on, and we teased it looked like an alien, then we heard the heartbeat. A strong 150bpm, like a galloping horse. We teased Landon the baby was a horse/alien. He kinda cheered up, then the baby started waving his hands and Landon came around. She did all her measurements and pointed out all the organs, head, heart, genitals, feet and hands. We were back there a good 40 minutes. As soon as I stood up I had an instant headache! I didn't realize how tense and uptight I was!

We promised Landon would could go get a new little toy or something since he was so good. We went to Walmart, their shelves were bare, then to Kmart, theirs were bare too, then we finally went to base and he got something there. We grabbed a bite to eat and finally got home around 6! It was a long day, but all worth it in the end!

I can't believe we are having another boy, we are all so happy. I have a few pictures that I need to scan or take picture of, I am SO tired I just can't muster the strength to do it right now. Sorry!

SO now I am searching for boy things and bedding and stuff and we have already tossed around some names, I think we may have a first name, but not saying anything yet, it's SO early still. I'll definitely keep you all posted!

A day at the park

Today Landon and I went and got Aubree for a play date. I know on the weekends Landon tends to get bored with us, and enjoys playing with other kids. We decided to go to the Zoo Park first to play and get out some energy! It was a pretty nice morning, and I haven't been to the zoo park in a long long time!!!

The kids were excited, they bolted for the park the second they stepped foot out of the car!

I remember taking Landon to this park when he was a little guy, just over a year old. It always made me so nervous, it was such a big park and he was so little. Now he just took off and it was a perfect size.

They started climbing and I soon realized Aubree was afraid of heights, uh oh!

SO we went on the tire swing instead. They giggled the whole time I pushed them.....

Look how big Landon looks on these things! Silly kids, wanted to play on the baby toys.

Landon had no fear, and tried everything that the park had to offer.

Aburee had to go potty, so we had to run to the zoo to go potty.

After the park we stopped at the gas station and got a Slurpee and came back to the house to play. They played in the room, played hide and seek, stopped for popcorn and juice and to watch some super hero cartoons, then we went out front and rode the scooters, then went out back to swing and pick flowers! It was a fun day, Landon LOVED having a friend over to play!

Family Day

Saturday flew by before my eyes! Well, not really. We were really busy today, a good and fun busy.

We had a showing again yesterday and nothing today. Boo! I got up and cleaned my already clean house this morning in hope of some good traffic around here. Nothing. Oh well.

So Greg, Landon and I went and had some Mexican food for lunch. The whole time I was eating I could feel the baby moving. It was great. I couldn't stop smiling. After that we went over to Target and started a registry! It was fun. We didn't get to really do it with Landon since we were in Germany. Since we don't know what we are having we couldn't register for specific things, but it was nice to get an idea of what was out there and start looking. I can't wait to go back and scan either boy or girl things! SO fun.

After that we went to a local store called Junk It. They have old furniture and they refinished and paint it to what you want. Almost like Shabby Chic. Oh my! They had some NICE stuff there. We found two dressers we want. One is specific for a boy and the other a girl. Depending on Monday, we will most likely go back and get one. The girl one was $150 and that includes all the work, the other was $175. Not bad. You can check out their Facebook Page.

We then went to Sam's Club and the Commissary. Whew! We were busy. Greg grilled some steaks for dinner and I made some red potatoes with garlic and onion. YUM! Then we went for a walk, Landon rode his bike while we got some more fresh air! It was a great day with my boys, I love days like these!!!!

Happy Saturday!

Miss Kitty's hospital stay was a quick and expensive 24 hour one. Landon and I went to pick her up about 4pm on Tuesday. The doctor told us wouldn't usually let an animal that is acting the way she is go home, but he is going to let her. I guess this Vet doesn't really understand how kitty is. Kitty is picky about her food, used to not be, now all she wants is the cheap Cat Chow. She is a very quiet and scared cat. I am sure being there made her not want to eat, not want to go to the bathroom. Even though they stated she was doing better.

When we got her home she had a big pink bandage on her leg. She ran out of the cage and stopped, turned toward me starting purring and rubbing on me! Yay, kitty was back. She meowed her loud meow and went straight to her food and water to eat. She is on antibiotics and steroids for 10 day, now that's a pain in the rear, but we are dealing with it. She is SO happy now. Not leaving our side, constantly purring, eating and using the bathroom. It's nice to have our kitty back.

I was a mess before I went to get her. Greg was calling for updates and stuff and they finally said the total at the time was $339. What? I paid 150 deposit, and from what I understood, they were going to call if they felt they needed to do an xray, they would call if anything else came up. So why did we never get a call when they did an xray? The doctor was nice and took the xray off, a whopping 48bucks. Whatever. I knew it would be pricey, but geez. I am just glad kitty is ok, and I am she is feeling better and they couldn't really find anything wrong. They said it could have just been her pancreas, or very dehydrated and her body wouldn't allow her to eat or drink. SO....

Other news, we haven't had a single showing at our house in a week. Kinda sad, but we had such a busy first week and so many showings, I think we got spoiled. I think we are going to schedule an open house for this weekend or next. It has been SO nice to have a clean house at ALL times, now when things are out of place I get all upset! ha!

A funny Landon story. We went to that party last weekend and this boy Ethan was there. Landon told me when we got home yesterday he doesn't go to his school anymore, he moved to Mexico. I was kinda shocked since we just saw him. So at dinner I told Greg. And Landon says,

"Yeah he moved to Mexico."

Greg: "Oh, you mean New Mexico?"

Landon: "Yeah to New Mexico."

Me: "No, Landon said Mexico, I think that's where his mom was from."

Greg: " Did Ethan move to Mexico or New Mexico Landon."

Then Landon says, "NOO Dad, he moved to the Old Mexico, not the new one!"

I about died laughing, it was SO funny.

One last drama to my day. I am due for a refill on my prenatal vitamin. Since Walgreen's is done with Tricare I decided to take my pill bottle to the base pharmacy to get it filled there. That's what I thought you could do. I still have 3 refills left on it. So I waited for about 15 min. Get to the counter and the girl said, "No, you must have a new RX, we don't allow that here, transferring from downtown. Plus we don't carry what you are taking." WHY do I have such a hard time getting medications? It not like I am taking things that are impossible to find or rare. What the heck?? SOOOO I had to go to CVS and they took the info on my bottle and said it would be ready on Saturday. At least they carry it, there goes more $$$ for RX I should be able to get on base. Right? I think that's the thing the frustrates me the most. At least Tricare will pay for this, I'll only have to pay $12 a month, so $36 for my three month refill. After I get this RX Saturday I am DONE with pharmacy's for a while! haha!

Kitty

Miss Kitty still wasn't doing better today when I got home from work. We called the vet and took her in on base to be seen. She couldn't figure out what was wrong from just a basic check, and since the base vet clinic doesn't do overnight services, she recommended we go off base to get her seen.

So I went and got Landon from day care and we headed over to an off base Animal Clinic. They did an exam and based on what we were telling them, her not eating since Friday or drinking, vomiting, diarrhea and bloody stool something was wrong and they wanted to keep her over night to do some observations.

So Landon and I had to leave Kitty at the vet for some blood work, IV, medicine and some close watching. Landon was balling when we left her, he did not want his Kitty to stay there. It broke. my. heart. It was so hard to see him so upset. We got a call about 530 (It was 4 when we left her) and the blood work came back OK. They were going to keep her and keep an eye on her and told us to call back about 830am to see how she was. If nothing changed and she didn't seem to get any better then they would want to do an xray and see if they could find anything.

Hopefully miss Kitty is feeling better in the morning and we can just go get her and bring her home. It's kinda sad to not have her around, her meowing loudly when we walk by. Her not standing and staring at us to pet her. But, hopefully everything will be ok and she will be home and be her spunky self again!

18 Weeks, Yard Sales, Birthday parties and bedding

Well that title was a lot longer than I wanted it to be! But it explains what we've been up to these past three days.

Friday I was 18 weeks, I failed to take a picture and do an update. The only thing is I've been having TERRIBLE heartburn or acid. It's been so bad. Other than that everything has been the same. Only 8 days til we find out if it's a boy or girl. I can't wait.

We've had a huge pile of stuff in our garage for a yard sale. I finally got it all together to have a yard sale. Aften came over to help and brought some stuff to sale too. I got it all priced and sorted out Thursday night and Friday night. The weather had been SO nice the past few days. When I opened the garage at 730am on Saturday morning it was COLD! I checked the weather and it was 30 but felt like 20. OHHHH man it was freezing out there. I failed to take a single picture, but we had quite a few people and made about $220. I didn't have huge things to sale, but got rid of most of my things. I still have  a lot of Landon's clothes, but I will sale that at the big consignment sale coming up. I took my clothes and shoes and some random things over to the Salvation Army when we were done. I had a good time, just wish it was a tad bit warmer. Landon had a blast playing with Zoey.

When the yard sale was over we went and ate lunch and grabbed a gift for a birthday party we were attending. The party was at Prime Time just down the road from our house. We hadn't been inside for a long time and it turned out to be a pretty fun party.

First thing was pizza and drinks, then cake and presents....

Landon was excited to see some of his friends from Pre-K.

The cake was so cute, it was a mini pillow pet. The kids all LOVED it, it tasted pretty good too.

Landon insisted that Wyatt wanted a Light Saber from Star Wars, so we got one, he seemed to enjoy it...

His little friend Amiele was SO shy when she got there, her mom finally got her to cheer up..

When all that was done it was time to go play. They had this big play area with slides, jungle gyms, and climbing things that the kids could run and play for about an hour. Then they all got 5 card to play games...

HE LOVED air hockey.

He had a blast playing with Greg! Was giggling the entire time.

Then they played this shooting game...

With the pretty girls on it, haha!

It was a really good time. When we were done there we HAD to go find Landon some new shoes. He out grew his ones we got when school started, he'd been wearing his old skate shoes, those were getting hole and kinda tight now too. So we found some nice New Balance shoes at the mall. We had to buy him a size 12, HOLY COW! Where did my little boy go?

Miss Kitty hasn't been feeling very well the past few days. She hasn't been moving much, eating or going to the bathroom. She is pretty old, and we feel pretty bad for her. If she doesn't get better we may take her to the vet tomorrow.

We finally got home about 530 last night and ate some dinner. We all moved towards the couch and then didn't budge the rest of the night, we were all SO tired!

Today I got up and cleaned. We went to Sam's then the Commissary. One thing we wanted to get with our money we made was new bedding. Ours was just getting old, and we wanted something new. I have lots of pretty quilts and stuff, but we wanted something else. While at Sam's club we found a 20 piece set that we loved. It was $139 for a comforter, bed skirt, 4 valances, 4 decorative pillows, 2 euro shams, 2 standard shams, a flat and fitted sheet, and 4 pillow cases. When we got it home and went to put it up we realized it was missing almost EVERYTHING! Someone had taken all this stuff out of it. SO, I had to go back to Sam's, turns they only had the king size left. Of course. There was another style that was $129, and I liked that one and ended up getting that one, I LOVE it!

This is the before. The quilt was something we tossed on the bed because we had to wash our old comforter.

And this is the new stuff...

I love it!

I need to buy bigger pillows and get it all straightened out, but I just wanted to show you.

I'm looking forward to just relaxing the rest of today. I hope this week is a lot smoother and stress free than last week.

Ugh!

These pregnancy hormones are crazy! Let me tell you why my hormone's have been crazy today.

Since I got pregnant and needed a new RX for my Thyroid medication, my OB wanted me on the name brand pill. (I was currently taking the generic) So back in December when I was due for more I took my new RX to the pharmacy to get filled. The first pharmacy that I went to didn't carry the name brand. On to CVS. They did have it, but not in my strength. They would have to order it and it would be a day or two before it was in. Then I went over to Albertson's Pharmacy, they were the only ones who had it, and in stock. They only had a 30 day supply. When I went to pay they informed me Tricare will not pay for the name brand on this RX. Great. Luckily it was only about $22.

So, this week my RX is up, I got a new one my last visit. Monday I went to CVS to drop it off. They informed me they didn't carry Syntroid, and they didn't even have a spot on their shelf anymore. Great. So she called and they were able to order it, but it would be in Wednesday. That was fine, I still had some pills left. I heard that Tricare will cover name brand if you get a wavier from Tricare stating it's for medical reasons. So Tuesday Greg was on the phone FOREVER. He finally got a number for my DR's office to call and fax in a RX stating it's medically necessary and they would cover a portion of it. I then called my Dr's office to let them know. They then informed me they do NOT call insurance companies and I had to do it myself. She transferred me to the nurse, and she also informed me of that but would try.

Yesterday on my way home I went to pick it up, and it wasn't ready. Ugh! So I decided today I would go. I now don't have a single pill left and I take them every morning. I went to pay and she said insurance denied and won't pay anything. So I was on the phone again, they couldn't find a fax or anything stating it was taken care of. So Greg called Tricare. They denied it again because they didn't state on the RX, I was pregnant. So I called the office back again to tell them to fax in a new RX and it would be taken care of. Now the lady stated again they DO NOT do this. And I can either pay full price or they can give me a RX for the generic and I have to had my blood drawn every 3 months to get it checked. What? She said she was unaware of what the nurse was doing and they can only fax a RX to a pharmacy. She can not help me. I stated this was a HUGE NIGHTMARE and hung up the phone in TEARS! They want me on the name brand, but won't help me to get any coverage on it. What the heck? I would get it from base, BUT, they don't carry the name brand. I didn't know it was going to be such a hassle to find this VERY COMMON medicine at a huge pharmacy. I was SO dang upset. SO needless to say, I got my 90 day supply of Synthroid for $71.00.....

Enough of that.

We had a busy Tuesday. We had a showing at the house from 930-1030 and then another one at 230. The 230 showing was the people from Saturday to look again, they were VERY interested. Yay! Wednesday we had a Realtor open house and all of Re max came through to look at it. Our Realtor let us know they all had positive things to say about the house, which was a huge sigh of relief. When I got home today after all my drama, we got a call for another showing (in 30 min). We also found out from our Realtor that the first people who were really interested, that our house was their #2 choice. They made an offer on their number one and it's looking like they got it. We were SO close, and the house has only been on the market for a week! Crazy. So that was exciting, but also kinda disappointing.

Sorry for the drama post. It feels good to blog about it and get it off my chest. These pregnancy hormones are just crazy sometimes.

Day Off

It's been SO nice having an extra day off this weekend. Especially after my crazy week last week.

Our extra day off was spent sleeping a little later than usual (730ish, yes, that's sleeping in for me!) Greg went golfing with his friends and Landon and I spent the morning together running errands and hanging out. I'm trying to get my thyroid medications filled and having some issues. So we went to take care of that, then went to Sam's Club, had lunch and went to the post office then headed home. Landon and I also cleaned out the car, cleaned the front porch and re-mulched our garden. Whew!

It sucks that our pictures of the front of the house are with dead grass. Oh well. There are of course the horrible patches of weeds...

Yep, think I am going to go pull those, if possible.

We have the lock box hanging on our house reel thing...

I had such a good helper all day today, I sure do love this little guy,

He is getting so big. I think he was having growing pains last night. He woke up in tears shortly after going to sleep. Just grabbing his arms and kicking his legs. We gave him some medicine to help and he didn't wake up till morning. We asked him this morning what was going on last night and he told us, "My bones, were hurting." Think my boy is growing again. Ahhhh....

So tomorrow will be back to work, at least I will be on my regular schedule. We have a few things going on this coming weekend two parties and possibly having a yard sale? Anyone want to help with with a yard sale? haha!

Official

So it was official on Friday that our house was on the market!

Like I had said before I didn't realize how stressful it was putting a house on the market. We are now realizing how much work it is to have your house on the market. This trying to keep the house spic and span at all times is hard work, especially with a 5 year old. Saturday morning we finished cleaning out our closet. We had just stopped and Greg was playing with Landon and I was laying on Landon's bed watching them. My cell phone rang, they were going to show our house between 11-12! Oh my gosh, we got so excited and panicked. We put everything away the boys were playing with, got Landon dressed, put all the totes away that we just packed with stuff from the closet, took showers, hid all the cat stuff and we were out the door! It was stressful! Just the thought at someone coming to look at your house and potentially going to buy it, man!

We never heard anything, today Greg talked to our Realtor and she said they liked the house but they just started looking. It was nice to hear they liked it. We were worried about what people were going to think.

Other than the house stuff we have been hanging out. I went and got a much much needed pedicure this afternoon. The peace and quiet was AMAZING and it felt good to get my feet all pretty again. They sure were looking nasty. Saturday I went with Teresa (the lady I work with) to a local baby boutique called Kids Village. Her son and daughter in-law are having a baby. They live in Dallas but their friends and family here are having a shower for her. So Teresa asked me to go with her to help her get some stuff registered there for them. WOW! I had never been there, and I don't know why, but I do know I want to go back, and I do know it got me super excited for this baby. I can't wait to find out what we are having so I can start to shop. I haven't bought or got one single thing for this baby yet. CRAZY! With Landon I had a stash of diapers and wipes, the pack-n-play, stroller combo, bedding picked out (if it was a boy) and all that jazz. I think it's time to start getting some things. I do know if we have a boy we don't have too get much (blankets, socks, onesis, and things like that)

I wanted to throw in a few pictures of my two favorite boys.

Yes Landon is drinking out of the milk jug! They wanted milk, and there was a tiny bit left, so I set it down on the table and Greg drank from it. Landon was almost in shock, and asked if he could try that.

And now they are reading Landon's new comic book combo thing he bought today with his money from Grammie and Poppa Bob! Thanks Grammie and Poppa.

I LOVE my boys!

17 Weeks

17 Week Pregnancy Highlights

How Far Along: 17 weeks (Yay, I did it on time!)

Size of Baby: 5 oz, about the size of a turnip!

Total Weight Gain: Don't even want to say, I hate this question this pregnancy.

Maternity Clothes: Today I broke down and bought two more maternity shirts from Target. They were on sale for $6 each, one is a sweater and the other is a shirt. I wore the shirt tonight and it's SO comfortable.

Sleep: Still love to sleep. But some nights if I wake up, I have a hard time falling asleep. My mind is racing!

What I miss most: Bending over without it hurting! All this moving things around, packing and cleaning I've really begun to notice my big ol' belly.

Cravings: still no real cravings. Things are really starting to smell good though!

Symptoms: Nothing this week. Been feeling pretty good actually.

Best Moment: Hearing the heartbeat at my appointment. A strong 150 BPM. Such a wonderful music to my ears.

What I'm Looking Forward to Most: My 20wk ultrasound on January 30th to find out if you're a boy or a girl!

Now I am very hesitant about posting this photo. But I am going to post it. I still haven't "popped" yet, but I am SO thick around my waist, and my boobs are HUGE! I have go to find a bra that fits.

It's hard to believe I am 17 weeks. When tell people they are all like "really? Already?" I can't believe it either. I've tried to be so cautious this pregnancy, not get too excited, not buy a single thing, not look at baby stuff, not think about baby names. It's crazy. Totally opposite from when I was pregnant with Landon. Sometimes I will be busy and then all of a sudden I think to myself, I'm pregnant, oh my goodness, I'm going to have another baby. It's crazy. Happy Friday y'all!

Who Knew?

This week has been busy! Monday we contacted a Realtor, got a storage unit and got the house ready for the Realtor to come over. I was SO tired that night. Landon and I were woke up by a thunderstorm Sunday night about 3am, and both of us were awake from then. I tossed and turned, as did Landon. So Monday I felt like a walking zombie!

Tuesday Greg met with the Realtor at our house. She had great things to say about the house, which was a sigh of relief. There is a few things we need to take care of, simple easy things. One of the things was to make sure all the light bulbs are the same. We have some of the energy ones, and some aren't. I cleared the fridge and left a few pictures, she said to clear it all off, and to take the dish towel off the oven. Simple. We also have to clean the ceiling fans, which is something I have been putting off. Another thing that is worrying me is she said to hide the cat stuff. Fine. But what happens when we are working and they show the house. Kitty will hide, but the box will still be out. She wants us to put it in the garage. And what if the cat takes a big poop before someone comes? Ugh. That is bothering me :) We have a huge pile of paperwork we had to fill out, a paper to get notarized, had to visit the Tax Appraiser's office to get a homestead exemption (something I wish we would have done before darn it!). And a few other odd things.

Tuesday I also had my doctors appointment after work. I really love my DR'S office. When I showed up they told me he was delivering a baby and would be back in an hour, I could either see the nurse practitioner or come back for the DR. I decided to see the NP. I really liked her! The appointment went good, it was a quick and easy one. The heartbeat was strong this time and was 150bpm. I was totally disgusted with my weight and kinda shocked actually. I'd better be careful. UGH! I also scheduled my 20 week ultrasound which will be January 30th! I am SO excited I can't wait to find out what I am having.

Monday night about midnight, or sometime around then, Landon woke up crying his tummy hurt and got sick a few times. SO, needless to say, I was SO tired from being up and being busy, now I was up with my poor sick little guy from about 145-3. My alarm went off at 445. Man, I was tired.

Today was another busy day. I worked 8-545. A lonnnng hard day. Greg took care of a bunch of things for the house, we finished the papers and hope to get them to the office tomorrow. They will also come out tomorrow to take some pictures of the house for the website and measure all the rooms. Hopefully we will have a sign in our yard within a day or two!

Who knew getting a house ready to put on the market and putting your house on the market was SO stressful! This mamma is tired, G'night!

DIY

Busy! That is the one word that explained our day. And now, exhausted, is how we feel!

This morning Greg got started on finishing painting. We started with the small hallway right outside our bedroom. He finished the edges and then moved in to the kitchen.

The little hallway/area. I used to have pictures of Landon on the wall and two toy baskets on the ground and Landon would always go play right there. NOT anymore! All re-painted, pictures taken down, and toys put in the boys room.

I've been working in the kitchen area the past few days. I removed the leaf's along the cabinets, cleaned the fridge off, put my apothocary jar with candy away, put my recipe book holder away, took some oil decorative bottles down from the fridge and put them away. I also took the plaid curtains above the sink away, now it's just the Roman Shades. (This picture is before painting today)

Greg started painting in our dining area. I avoided the fumes and went to the front of the house...

I had all the window's open to get the air flowing through the house. We got low odor latex paint, so I think I was ok. But this is where Landon and I spent a good portion of the morning.

I pulled all his stuff out of the bottom of his closet. I had a small bag of stuff to toss, and a small pile for the yard sale. I also made a pile to put in tote's to place in storage. That was mainly his old baby clothes and stuff that we saved.

I also decided it was time to take down the white from when he was a baby. I also wanted to de-clutter the room as well. So I had to take this special stuff down...

It was sad to pack it away, but it will be nice when we move to get it all back out. So after sorting everything out, putting things away, dusting, vacuuming and cleaning the window's and blinds, here's what we have...

The wall to the right of his bed is where I had the white shelves. They were there from when he was still in his crib, it was so sad to see them go.

I also took the picture that I had in his nook by our room and hung them and took the white down. I don't know why I didn't do that before. It all kinda goes now, and it looks a lot better.

SOO, Landon's room is done. I just have to clean the spare bedroom and it will be done. Our room needs to be deep cleaned and so does our closet and it will be done! I need to shampoo the carpets, move some stuff to storage and have a yard sale and our house will be good to go!

It feels so good to get so much stuff done. Landon keeps asking if we can go to Colorado now, but then when I was putting things away he said, "I'm sad to move. I don't want to leave our house." So sad. I know exactly what he means and how he feels. We moved in when he was 11 months so this is all he knows. Plus being our first home :(

Tomorrow we have to get a storage unit and contact the Realtor! eek! I'm so nervous!
