Birthday Boy

Friday night we had Landon's birthday party. Now that he is getting older, it's getting a tad more challenging trying to figure out what we are going to do. I am sure that we won't be planning too many more parties, just more simple things, sleep overs, and Dart Warz!

Dart Warz is an indoor Nerf gun place. Landon's been begging to go, even better since it was his birthday, so we planned his party there. It's nice because you have to be 5 to play. And the party included 11 kids.

You can bring your own gun, or rent one there. Then you get briefed with all the rules and get your vest and safety goggles.

Then it's to the arena.

It's a big open room with places to hide in and behind. There is a DJ up top who runs it, they play music do the time. And there are also other workers so if you get hit you sit out. Each round is like 4 minutes, then they start over.

They got to play for an hour. They LOVED it and weren't ready to be done.

WE got the party room for 30 minutes. We got Dominos and had cake. Then had a few minutes to open gifts.

I think the party was a huge success and all the kids were talking about wanting to go back already!

Hey Stranger!

It's been a while, a LONG while. I've Just been busy and I kinda lost interest in blogging. I mean I enjoyed it, but it was starting to feel like a chore. Nothing is fun if it feels like a chore! Am I right?

We've been up to A LOT! I love being super busy. It's also super tiring, throw in a 2 year old, and things get just plain exhausting! I will start with just some pictures. And I will try my hardest to blog, if not daily, then every few days. If you don't see a blog. REMIND me. I am SO forgetful sometimes.

Landon finished football a few weeks ago. He fell in love with it. He is already asking to play again next year, and still practices outside any chance he can get. His coaches were great, def what he needed.

We went to the Mile High Farm and Pumpkin Patch in Denver one weekend. The kids had a BLAST! There was a ton of things to do from a huge corn maze, corn to play in, tire swings, petting zoo, tractor rides, small town to explore, pumpkins and snacks. The weather was overcast and perfect for us.

Owen LOVED these old tractors, I mean LOVED them. He did not want to get off.

Owen and his buddy Josh stood at the chickens forever, I'm not really sure why, but they ended up coming back, and pointing and talking. So funny.

I think the corn was everyone's favorite. They played in it for a while and all came out super dusty and with corn kernels in pockets, shoes and diapers!

And today it's cold and snowy, a balmy 3 degrees but feels like -14. WOW!

Are you ready for some football?

Who loves football? We do! Landon is loving his flag football team he is on. We finally got his jersey. They didn't do actual team jerseys. They did solid colors and let the kids pick who. Of course Landon's were black, and the kids picked the Steelers. Ew. Oh well, they were all happy!

The Steelers had their first game on the 13th, and one this weekend. They lost both. The first game was close, this last game, they got stomped. We are playing both this base and Ft. Carson. This weekend we went to Carson, and let's just say, their team had a lot of 9 year olds, we had a lot of 7 year olds. They were like pro's out there. But, it's all in fun. Landon had a great time. We enjoyed yelling from the sidelines and cheering them on. It was a nice hot day, so Greg and I came home with some sun burns. Oops.

Landon was the center, so he got to hike the ball, and he really liked that.

Owen always has fun running around with his buddy Jace. Those two. So silly and full of energy.

He was so happy. He had a great time at his first football game. (That one was here at Pete)

It's funny how hard it has been for Landon to get used to the mouth guard. He is about 10 times better with it now. We got the nice one you heat up and mild to your mouth. Hopefully he won't bite through it.

Yesterday our game was against Ft. Carson, the Army base. It was SUCH a beautiful day. The mountains in the back ground. So pretty here.

We stopped to get them lunch, and were early so watched the teams that were already playing. I got a knot in my stomach. They seemed a lot bigger, and were REALLY good.

It was a little different. Much more fast past then the previous week. And a little more chaotic. We lost a coach this week, him and his wife had some drama, and they ended up quitting. SO, the head coach was trying to coach 7-9 year old by himself.

He's a great coach! We really like him. This week he's asked some parents to help, he needs as many hands as he can get!

So our Saturday's are spent playing football right now. We are all about it, and enjoying every minute. Way to go Landon, and way to go Steelers!

T25: Before and After

Dang it. I tried to blog daily. Then one day gets away, then the next, and the next. You get the point. I've been so wrapped up in the Beach Body stuff, and then Landon has his football twice a week at night, and then Greg has his flag football. We are just plain busy. I do have the day to blog. But half the time I'm cleaning house, chasing Owen around, running errands, PWOC, Mops.

So I blogged previously about my T25, being a Beach Body Coach, starting the 21 Day Fix. Well, I am now officially done with T25. I did the full 10 weeks. I can not believe I stuck with it and finished. I am still doing the work outs until I start my next program.

Let's talk about T25. When I started I knew I was out of shape. I was not happy with myself. Always uncomfortable, didn't want to take pictures, didn't want to be in pictures. I was having issues with my blood sugar, feeling down for no reason at times. I couldn't find anything that fit my schedule and the time I had. I did Insanity before, it's a great work out, just long. I started and stopped, several times. I lost a few pounds and inches, and honestly, I felt pretty good. Fast forward, I packed those few pounds and inches on, and a few more to boot. I didn't care. I always had the munchies. It was summer time, we were busy doing stuff, enjoying time off, ate out a ton.

Here is my before July 7, 2014:

I started in at ( I can't believe I am saying this) 176 pounds.

Here is my after on September 12, 2014:

Ending weight 160.8. Yes, I lost 16 pounds. I also lost a total of 16 inches. About 2-3 inches off each arm and leg, 2 inches off my chest, 4 inches on my waist and I lost my turkey neck!

Crazy right? I am finally the size I was when we first got to Texas. I am wearing pants and shorts that I haven't worn, some in 4 years, some since before I had Landon. Insane!

T25 is a 10 WEEK program, it has about 12 different workouts. It also came with a nice meal plan guide with meals and what not. I also had a coach and Facebook Support Group. We strictly followed the meal plan to start with, had a few slip ups, but have stuck to it pretty well. I did a 3 Day Refresh towards the end, just a 3 day Detox to give me a boost, and I started drinking Shakeology. I feel so great. I finally feel like the old me. I am OBSESSED with Shakeology. It is SO healthy, and it's helped me cut my cravings back. I don't need or crave sweets any more. Hard to imagine. Also, I no long seem to have blood sugar spikes and drops. That is a big thing for me!

So my next program I am doing is called 21 Day Fix. It's a 21 day program with 6 different workouts, comes with portion control containers for easy measuring. Will teach clean eating and healthy portions. (I am still learning portion control, even though I am eating so much better, I still think I eat too much of certain things!) I am so excited to see my results from that. Stay tuned and I will blog about my journey with that.

If you or anyone you know may be interested in any of this stuff, send them my way, look me up on Facebook. Here is my website where you can go look as well:
