Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! I just wanna give you a sneak peak in to our Halloween night...

Yes Greg's eyes are closed, and yes I look like a man, or a sausage trying to fit into a cute costume! I was so embarrased walking around tonight, but we had fun. More pictures to come tomorrow when I am not so tired and can think! Happy Halloween!

Rodeo & Halloween Party

Yesterday was a very busy day for us! Landon and I were zonked out together on the couch before nine last night. When I woke up it was almost 10, and Landon was sleeping on my lap, his head to my cheek,  I had the remote in my left hand, the lap top sitting right next to me with the memory card inside, blogger open waiting for me to blog. The book I had read Landon was on my lap. The TV was blaring and the lights were all on. I guess Rodeo's and Halloween parties make you tired!

First he had to listen to the rules inside, and sit at group (His teacher is behind him, Mrs. Glenda!) Then he had to wait outside after pictures for the other classes to be ready. ( I would put a class picture on here, but I wouldn't want to get in to any kinda of trouble since I work there, know what I mean?)

First thing he went to is the horses, you can pretend you are riding a horse. Right next to it was roping, he wasn't in to that though.

Then he said he was hungry and thirsty so we went over to the snack station to grab a snack. Snack was water and haystacks. Landon called them 'haysnacks' and he loved them! (Just melted butterscotch chips and low mein noodles!)

He walked around and just kinda checked everyone out, then the dancers came and Landon was so excited! It was adorable.

After dancin' around and two stepping, it was time to milk Betsy the cow.

He loved milking the cow. He sat there for a good ten minutes milking it! So fun. After about 45 minutes of Rodeo fun we left. We came home and rested for about and hour and then had to get Landon ready to go to the CES (Civil Engineering Squadron) kids Halloween party.

We met some friends there. Aubree and Jackson. We hadn't seen them in so long! We missed you guys. Aubree was the cutest giraffe ever, and Jackson was a bat.

There was a bbq with hot dogs, chips, snacks and drinks to start off. Then you could walk to all the different offices to get candy. Landon was so happy, there were kids there from school, and lots of candy, he was in heaven!

Greg was on shift so him and Aubree's dad met us there!

After seeing all the scary costumes and set ups (they both weren't scared at all, I was shocked) we stopped for a candy break.

Then it was time for a hay ride!

We then found the craft room and made some cool crafts.

After that it was time to go home. Landon had a blast, as did I. It was nice to get out. We came home and got   Landon bathed and then we fell asleep on the couch! It was fun and busy day.

Today has been great! Greg got off work this morning and we went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Then we took Landon to get a hair cut and ran to a few other places. We ended up buying a full size mattress and box spring with a headboard at a local mattress store! We need one for the spare bedroom, and have been needing to get one forever! So we did. I'll post pictures tomorrow.

Happy Halloween weekend!
(we are off to watch the Ranger's game at some friends house! I sure hope they can win this one.)

Pumpkin Carvin'

Tonight was pumpkin carving night finally! We learned from the past if you carve a pumpkin too early it gets moldy and shrivels up really really fast, especially around here.  While we were waiting till Halloween got closer to carve our pumpkins we got at the pumpkin patch, our big one decided to rot. It was totally gross. One night I told Greg it looked like a shadow was on our pumpkin, and when I went to touch it my finger almost went all the way through it. NASTY!

Landon loved the pumpkin and watching Greg carve it open with my KitchenAid knife. Yes, he used my knife. We didn't have any pumpkin carving kit or tools this year. Landon used a butter knife, he didn't know any different.

Until we put the insides on his hands.

He actually gagged! Yes, he was gagging, I should have recorded it.

He carved and carved, and slashed the pumpkin with his butter knife till it was finished.

Are you ready for the final product.

What do you think of Landon and Greg's pumpkin? It has eyes, a nose, mouth and even ears and a triangle of some sorts on the back of it's head. Landon is in love with it. I am serious. We had to sit by it with all the lights out for a while. And when we walked out he was adamant we come back and sit by it.

Greg took Landon to the Dr's today. He woke up with really puffy and watery eyes. I knew it was allergies, but was worried it was turning into a sinus infection. Sure enough, sinus infection it is. He is on amoxicillian now. I hope it helps my poor baby!

Good Finds

I had to go back to Pier One today to grab some things I found yesterday. I couldn't stop thinking about an apothecary jar I found and this cute little leaf server thinga mabob.

I put some of our pumpkins from the pumpkin patch inside of it. I LOVE it, it's huge, and I can't wait to use it at Landon's party!

Don't you think the leaf server is cute? It was only $5 and the jar was $19.99! I can't find a jar that big at Hobby Lobby or Michaels for that cheap! STEAL

I also got the tags for Landon's party favors. They are cute, I love them.

Invitations should go out in the mail tomorrow!!

Giggling Soccer Player

Landon and Greg have been going outside to play a lot. One of Landon's favorite things to do right now is kick his ball and play 'soccer.' Tonight he was just giggling away when kicking the ball, and I got it on video!

We all woke up on the wrong side of the bed today. Greg brought donuts home this morning, we all kinda just ate quietly. I farted around on the computer, Landon watched a cartoon and Greg read his magazine. We went to the Commissary and let's just say, it wasn't a fun trip. We ate lunch when we came home, and all three of us took a nap. I was curled up on our love seat, Greg was on the big couch and Landon was in his room. I woke up first and started dinner in the Crockpot and just as I finished Landon woke up, and shortly after that Greg did too. All of us felt GREAT afterwards! That was one of the best couch naps I've had a in a long time! Since we were all refreshed and feeling good, we went over to Pier One to look and then walked around in the mall. I found so much stuff at Pier One, I want to go back and get some things. I haven't been in there for a while, and I don't know why I don't go in there more often!

Back to work tomorrow, I am looking forward to getting the week going. I am excited for Halloween next weekend. It's going to be so much fun!!!

Swing of things

Today was Greg's first day back to work. And while he was up getting ready I was sprawled out on the bed, drooling on my pillow while the rain pelted the windows, snoozing away, awaking only to tell Greg his umbrella was in his bag in the closet and to tell him bye. He kinda responded with a laugh and, 'I don't need an umbrella, I have my gortex.'

We had some storms this morning. Some good Texas storms! It was thundering and lightening like crazy all morning and the rain was just pouring down. It felt like night time pretty much most of the day, then the sun was out by like 4 and it was pretty out.

I totally needed a Saturday like today. A day where I didn't have to be any where, and I could just relax at home. I could stay in my pj's just a tad longer and not feel guilty.

Buuuut, we did have to run to Target to get Greg some sheets for work. We can't find his ones from before anywhere. They disappeared. We faced the storm, puddles and crazy drivers to get some sheets for Greg. I teased Landon that we were going to get Greg pink sheets and he giggled and thought that was so funny.

Landon took like a 2 1/2 hour nap today...even though he told me numerous times before hand he wasn't tired, and he didn't want to sleep.

We made dinner and took it to the fire station to eat with Greg. Landon was really excited to go. We haven't been there in so long! I was pretty excited too. We ate dinner and then went to the stalls to run around and check out the fire trucks.

You know you like Landon's Texas shirt. Rangers are going to the World Series baby!!!! We are beyond excited in our house. I am so happy they beat the Yankees. I attempted to see if we could get tickets to game 3 in Arlington, but for stand up nose bleeders they start at $537.00. Yes, expensive! Never mind.

Back to our night. I told Landon the fire truck was going to arrest him, he didn't believe me.

Then Greg put Landon's super hero on top of one of the crash trucks.

Nooooo! Landon told Greg, "That's tooooo high for her, get her down!" (Yes, he has a girl super hero, you didn't think he had a boy did you? haha!)

Ahh! They rescued her!

Zoey and Aften came to the fire station too, Landon was super duper excited to see Zoey!

We went to their house to play and catch up. It was nice to be back in the swing of things, to 'see' people. It's time to start hanging out with everyone and doing things. I feel so out of the loop and we need to get back in the loop!

What did you do today?

Show Us Your Life: Kids Rooms

This week over at  Kelly's Korner is Show Us Your Life, Kids rooms!

We moved in to our house right before Landon's 1st Birthday in 2007. His nursery in Germany was cute and simple, we knew we'd be moving within the year. (Plus it was base housing, and you can't do much to it!) We've been here for 3 years now, and it's gone from baby to toddler and to now big boy room. Along with Landon's crib we had just a changing table when in Germany and during our PCS it got broken. We just recently bought Landon a bedroom set and he now has a dresser! I don't know why we waited so long, I am glad we finally did it though.

Welcome to Landon's Room.

His room has been fire trucks and fire fighting since he was a baby, with lots of reds and blues.

His curtains and lamp are from Pottery Barn Kids, and we got those for his nursery when we were in Germany. We got his bedroom set from Ashley's Furniture. His new quilt is from Pottery Barn Kids and I found his star sheets at Ross! They matched perfect!

I would like to do more pictures around the dresser area and hang them on the wall, we just haven't gotten to it yet! Plus, we really don't know how long we are going to be here? You never know with the Air Force.

There is still lots of white. His room was all white stuff before. His closet is full of toys, and clothes!

His little shelves still have a lot of baby pictures and mementos on them. How long should you leave that stuff up? Landon will be 4 next month.

So that was a tour of Landon's room. I still have lots of things I want to do and update. It's hard when you have to move all the time. I can't wait to check out all the other rooms and nursery's to get some decorating ideas and tips!

Here is a picture of me and my little guy, we had pajama day at school, so we had a nice comfy day!! Happy Friday Y'all!
