Under the weather

My sweet baby boy is under the weather today. He got sick at school after lunch. We weren't sure if it was a bug or something he ate or what. He took a nap, I picked him up before nap was over and we came home. 

He's been laying on the couch since.

From 3-7 (almost 7) It seemed like every 15-20minutes we were in and out of the bathroom. Poor thing is really sick. It breaks my heart and brings me to tears when he is hovered over the toilet. I wish it was me instead of him. He finally fell asleep on the couch, and just woke up. He asked for some water, poor baby is thirsty. Then he said he was hungry, I tried to give him a bite of a banana (the brat diet) and he didn't keep it down. He asked to get in his bed, so we just tucked him in. I hope he can get some rest and get to feeling better. I want my little man back!

What day is it?

What day is it today? I am all thrown off, I keep thinking it's Wednesday. This working an extra day is killing me, I am ready for the weekend already!

Greg's not too happy about the exercise either! haha

I feel like I haven't seen Greg in the past few days, actually I haven't....

Landon told me tonight, "I'm so sad, I miss my daddy so much."

Answers

I finally got some answers today! 

I've been having issues for a while. I was starting to think I was crazy. Really! I think I was really getting on Greg's nerves, something always seemed to be wrong. I was even starting to bug myself! Anyways, I found out today I have hypothyroidism. I have a slow/sluggish thyroid. I had it checked two years ago, and it was like a point over. I guess this time it was even more over, so I am going to start medicine for my thyroid tomorrow morning! I am not so thrilled about the fact I will have to be on pills for the rest of my life, but if it's going to make me feel better and feel normal, then I have to do it! I am sick of feeling like I am nuts or going to fall asleep at any time! I am also hoping that this will help me loose that weight I can't seem to get rid of! 

Weekend

Friday after work we headed to Oma and Opa's house! It's Ava's birthday weekend and we were going down to celebrate. When we got to Oma's we ate dinner then Greg and I went to Austin to have some alone time. It was nice to have some alone time, adult conversation and to just focus on us. We don't get out by ourselves enough, it's something we need to do more.

So what did we do? We are so lame, We went and walked through Target, then TJ Max and then went to Barnes and Nobles. I LOVE book stores, and I love going in them and getting wrapped up in a book, or magazine. I love the smell of coffee and books, I love the 'quiet' of a book store. Our time alone was great, and much needed.

Saturday when we woke up Alex, Jen and Ava were there and it was time to play and get Ava's party ready!!! Landon was beyond excited and couldn't sit still waiting for Ava to wake up! When she did she came running out and gave him a big hug and they walked and held hands. It was SO cute. 

They were instantly off and playing, And asked Opa to take them to 'fairy land' outside. So they went walking around for a while...with their red bug nets in their hands...

After walking around then it was time to get dirty in the sand box while they waited for Martin to arrive. They were making cakes and Rapunzel hair.

Martin finally arrived! Yay!!!! Time for the Teague cousin's to get in to some trouble.

It was the first time they have all been together since the Summer of 2008 I think. Landon was only 19 months or so, Martin wasn't even a year and Ava was like 4. Martin was shy, but it didn't last long.

They wore their masks outside, then took a coffee break. (Chocolate milk)

After coffee time they went and watched Ava on the computer while Oma decorated for the party. 

Then it was time to get dirty.

Finally it was time for cake and ice cream, presents and the piñata, the kids had waited allllll day for it. Ava told the boy's, we can all celebrate and pretend it's all our birthday's, but I'm the only one who get's presents. It was so cute. She is SO good with the boys. 

After the party we had a water fight outside. The weather was So nice, in the 90's. Water play was perfect!

The kids played hard, ALL day long. WE ate dinner and then had to get on the road. We got a late start, we didn't leave till after 7. Landon fell asleep almost instantly. We drove through a pretty crazy storm, and the deer were insane, they were every where and we had to drive really slow and careful. I was on deer patrol, we couldn't take our eyes off the road. We stopped for gas and a potty break, and finally arrived home at 11. I was tired...beyond tired.

My alarm went off at 4am. It was hard to get up. I worked 515am-1230. My drive home was hard, I could barely keep my eyes open. Landon just laid down for a nap when I got home, I cuddled up on the couch and took a great nap. So, this evening I've been cleaning and playing catch up, and trying to catch my breath....

Other good news, Alex and Jen announced yesterday they are expecting! Baby will be due in October and we are so excited and happy for them!!!

Wordless Wednesday

YEP! We finally got iPhone's! So this wasn't exactly a wordless Wednesday, my bad....

It was 90 degrees here today! Spring is here! Our crunchy brown grass is slowing turning green. Our rose bush is slowly filling up with bright green leaves. Our lilies are opening up. There is that certain smell in the air...oh yes, Spring is here!

Mr Man came out to see what I was doing....

I planted a new  bush, where our old rose bush used to be. I was going to plant flowers around it, but decided against it. I cleaned out a lot of old mulch and leaves, then laid some more mulch. I started on the other side, but soon grew tired of it, and my blood sugar was dropping, so we went inside.  

It's next to impossible to get Landon to 1) look at the camera 2)smile at the camera 3) be still! Am I the only one who has this problem? Is it just my child? Such a turd some times.

3 more days of work, then I get one whole day off. I am so lucky aren't I? Saturday we have Ava's 7th Birthday party to go to. I can't believe she is going to be 7. It will be fun to finally have Ava, Landon and Martin all together. I am hoping I can get some good pictures. Sunday I have to work 515am to 1230pm. Dang base exercise. I will be dragging butt I am sure. It's going to make for a long work week. I think it's time to start planning that mini vacation.....

Happy Spring

Happy Spring! I actually forgot today was the first day of Spring until I read another blog that mentioned it. I was like, 'oh yeah!' I guess there is no better way to spend the first day of Spring than Spring cleaning!! 

I had an urge to clean this morning. I did 5 loads of laundry, washed and put them all away. I cleaned the kitchen, washed dried and put away the dishes, then I tackled my laundry room. I vacuumed behind, between and under the washer and dryer. I also cleaned the windows (inside and out), dusted everything, including the blinds, washed the curtains and cleaned out our shoe/coat closet. 

We went to the Commissary then came home for some lunch. Greg rode his bike, and I relaxed on the couch watching some TV. Then when Landon woke up we went out back to tackle some weeds. My word, I can't believe the weeds here. I mean I can. But this time every year we are out there picking weeds like crazy, and they just come back. I guess we are not doing enough weed control through out the year. 

Greg started making some Chili and I planted our Lillie's we bought yesterday. They are so darn pretty.

We have some more flowers to plant, mulch to lay, and weed and feed to spread out, but it was so windy out this afternoon. We will try to tackle it all this week some time.

Landon's new pet, that almost made it

This morning we went out back to rip out some old bushes and to see what kinda of weeds and stuff we needed to take care of. I found a lady bug on some weeds, and gave it to Landon.

The boy was beyond thrilled with the lady bug, and insisted she come inside, where she would be a good listener! SO we brought her inside and got her situated. I found  a cup for her, and put some water on a paper towel. It was so cute listening to Landon talk to her. He was so sweet, he made her a room too!

He just loved the lady bug. When we left to go to Lowe's Landon put a paper towel over the cup to save her. He also added a lot of water. We thought she would be gone. Nope! She was still alive when we got home. When he went down for a nap she was in her cup right next to his bed! 

We left tonight to go eat and to get some things at WalMart, and when we got home this time she was not alive any more. Landon said, "Oh no, guess I'd better let her go outside so she can fly away now!" 

I think tomorrow when we plant some flowers and re-mulch the flower beds we will look for another Lady bug.....

Happy Friday!

Oh Friday, I am SO happy to see you. It's been one lonnnng and one helluva week. Next week is going to be just as long, as I will be working longer hours, and there is another base exercise next weekend. And I do believe it's my time to work. So I am going to enjoy my weekend. 

Landon has been in my class most of the week. Sometimes it's hard to have him in the room with me, luckily he's been pretty easy going, and it wasn't a big deal. When he is in the room I want to take pictures of him doing things and playing with the kids. So today I took some.

Every Friday we have Show and Share, we are working our way through the alphabet, and then we do a song and dance called the Tooty Ta. It's pretty silly, and Landon loves to dance, I should have recorded it, but I just took a few pictures.

That was the 'thumbs up' part. 

It goes a little something like, Hip Hop Tooty ta! Thumbs up (it repeats) elbows back, feet apart, knees together, bottoms up, tongue out, eyes shut, turn around. 

It's pretty funny, and he loves to do it. So after show and share, singing and dancing it was breakfast time. After breakfast, around 9am we went outside. It was nice out this morning, like 65. 

Landon was playing with his girlfriend Karishma, I got some really cute pictures, but I don't want to get in trouble for posting them on here. Then he decided it was time to hang upside down. 

At 10 we went in and switched groups. Lunch is at 1130, then it's nap time. Landon is still a good napper at school. 

I usually get off and go to the gym for about an hour then pick him up.  He usually isn't ready to go, but I don't like to leave him there. Today we decided to go to Hobby Lobby since we haven't been in a  while! It was time to check out some Easter stuff! We don't have very much.

We got two cute little yard stakes and a welcome sign for the door. They had a ton of cute things, I could have bought a lot! I love me some Hobby Lobby! 

When we got home the house was warm and stuffy. It is 90 outside right now. It's actually hot. When you get in the car it's hard to breathe. I turned the fans on and tried to just ignore that it was almost 80 in the house. I finally broke down and turned the air on. I always hate how it smells when you first turn the air on. It's gross. I am not ready to have the a/c on constantly. It's only half way through March, I don't want it to be this hot already. It already feels like summer. It's almost like I should have been hanging 4th of July stuff up, not Easter! I hate to think what the temps are actually going to be on Easter this year. We are probably going to have to wear bathing suits to hunt for eggs! ha-ha. Just Kidding. Hopefully it's just a warm spell that will pass, but after looking at the 10 day forecast, it looks like the warmth is here to stay. Darn.

So Greg just walked in. We are going to head out for some dinner here in a little bit. I might need to bust out some capri's, but I don't know if I am ready yet.....
