Monday Monday
5am came way to fast this morning. I was a tad confused when my alarm was going off. I was thinking to myself, 'what is that noise? Why is my phone going off so early?' I quickly realized as I fumbled to turn it off, that it was time to get up for work. Landon was good at getting up, but as we got to work and school his mood quickly turned from ok to sour, in a matter of minutes.
Our drive home last night started great. Landon fell asleep, and slept half way through the trip. As we were about 50 minutes out of Abilene we saw some big ol' clouds. We had heard there was a huge storm earlier in the day, and we heard there was softball size hail, tornado's and severe storms. We figured we had missed the storm. Well, another storm developed. We got to a little town called Coleman, and over the radio about every 2 minutes, there was weather alerts about tornado's, lightening, hail and rain. We tried to drive slow to let it pass. Long story short, and lots of driving around, waiting at gas stations, hanging out at a Dairy Queen, about an hour later we finally were able to finish our drive home. There was NO way were going to drive with tornado's being reported. So, a normal 3.5 hour drive took us close to 5 hours. We were about 30min from home, and Landon started wailing, and then vomiting.
We came home to find that Greg's car has lots of hail damage, the windshield is busted in two spots. Several people around here had the same thing, lots of windows busted in houses as well. We are thankful that the house and car are ok and we made it home safe.
It's crazy to be driving in sunshine and 80 degree temps, to a dark sky in the 60's with lightening striking all around you. Definitely made me nervous.
We had a great weekend with the family. It was so nice to be able to have all the kids together for a holiday. I know Landon had a blast with his cousins.
We've got lots of stuff going on this week, it's going to be a busy one, but at least that gives me things to blog about right?

Happy Easter
Happy Easter! I hope you all had a wonderful day. We've had a wonderful day, and I am sad to see it end. I took a TON of pictures this weekend, so I am going to just post a few pictures from the day. We are about to head home, and I know I am going to be way too tired to do anything when we get home.
Waking up, snuggling with Aunt Katie, then had breakfast.....
Then got dressed to find eggs and baskets!
Happy Easter!

Pre-Easter Fun
Today has been FULL of excitement and fun! I don't know how kids can go and go all day long and not even show any signs of exhaustion. I am exhausted just watching them play!
We started off meeting in Austin. We had lunch and then ran a few errands. Gap was having a great sale today, and I was in heaven shopping!
It's already hot in Texas, so when we got back to the house the kids hit the hot tub. Opa made the water cool, so they would be able to play in it for a while. Boy did the play in it for a while!
After playing it was snack time, Oma made some cupcakes.
They wandered to the front and found a lizard crawling around.
Then played in the sprinkler on the drive way.
Hey! Who's that?
Oh yeah, it's Katie. You hardly ever see any pictures of her :) (please don't kill me Katie)
Oh yeah, there's Jenn, doesn't she look cute with her tiny little pregnant bump?
They got back in the hot tub, again, and Ava slipped when she was turning the pumps off and bumped her tooth and broke it. Poor thing. She chipped the end off. She was devastated, we all felt terrible, But she is ok now.
Once Ava was feeling better it was time to dye Easter eggs.
Afterwards the had ice cream, and then the played out back in the sand box till it was almost pitch black out. The three of them needed a good scrub down, bath time it was....
Now we are having a 'slumber party' watching Tangled, sipping on strawberry milk and munching on popcorn. I am sure if they sat still they would pass out from exhaustion.
Soon we will put some carrots out and get these kiddos to bed and wait for the Easter bunny to come!

Easter Bunny
We had the pleasure this afternoon to meet some friends at the mall to see the Easter Bunny. We waited patiently in line, there was one person in front of us, and got to visit with the big brown bunny, who is starting to look a little old and worn out. The kids loved him, and Landon, get this, actually SMILED! I was so happy.
After the Easter bunny Landon got to go for a ride with a lady on the back of his motorcycle! haha, The kids played on these machines for a while, they didn't care if they had any quarters, they were using their imaginations!
Then it was Dippin' Dots time, and one last round on the carousel.
I took a picture of the picture, so it looks awful. I tried. I just wanted you to see the big smile he had!!
I've got a million things to do, and all I want to do is go to bed. But, a mother's work is never done :)

Month Of The Military Child
April is month of the Military Child. There is always different things going on around base. We usually take field trips to different facilities. Today we went to the Credit Union on base, and in a few weeks we will go to the Commissar. Also every year we have a parade around the CDC. The kids love it, and I think the parents do too! We always make shirts for the kids to wear, the baby rooms fancy up the baby buggy's, the fire truck usually leads the parade, there are several mascots walking around (which usually scares half the kids) and a few random booths. (unfortunatly because I work there, I can't really post too many pictures of the kids, these are just a few pictures to give you an idea)
My class was the first class, then it went youngest to oldest. I was off work already, so I was just a spectator, and I took lots of pictures for the classrooms. Greg walked with Landon and his class.
We were SO lucky that it was like 74 out, and not 100 like the past two afternoons. There was a slight breeze, and not howling winds. We lucked out this year.
It was a very busy day, I am extremely tired and ready to hit the sack. Tomorrow Landon and I have plans with some friends to go see the Easter Bunny! I also got all our Easter outfits for this weekend. I went to Kohl's, and like always, everything was on sale. I got Landon a
pair of plaid shorts, a polo shirt and sweater. I got Greg the same color polo shirt and me a cute pink top. I told Greg I got him a sweater vest too, he wasn't too thrilled, good thing he knows I like to joke around!
