Shopping & The Sand Box

Yesterday Greg and I went in to Austin to have lunch and do some shopping! Landon didn't want to go, he wanted to stay behind with Oma and Opa. It was nice to have some time alone with Greg, we definitely needed it!

Our first stop was TJ Max. We don't have one in Abilene, and we seem to always find something there. We found all different kinds of things. I found a really cute dress, one that I will actually wear, believe it or not, I am wearing it today! It is SO comfy. We went to Chuy's for lunch, it seems to be our favorite place to go now when we come down. It was SO good yesterday, it hit the spot!

Then we went to Toy's R Us to see if we could find Landon a 'surprise,' then went to the mall. I love the mall we go to. It is SO nice. We bought a few things, but it was nice to just walk around.

Then we came home and played outside. It finally cooled off a little so it was tolerable out. We had a BBQ...

Kenny grilled fajitas and we had all the fixin's, it was yummy!

It was nice to just hang out, talk and laugh. The boys had a blast...

They played in the sandbox and made some 'soup' for us to enjoy.

We were outside till after 10, then once Landon went to sleep, Greg and I went back out and relaxed in the hot tub. SO nice...

Today we went and had breakfast at IHOP.

Landon read his comic and played, Martin played on the iPad. Then we went to Target where the boys picked out a toy, They both got Moon Sand sets, and on the way out we stopped at Starbucks for Coffee.

The boys have been running around having a great time. They enjoyed playing with their Moon Sand and running around. I got to enjoy and nice nap on the couch and some more relaxing. I guess it's time to pack up and we will hit the road soon. We still have tomorrow off, we want to have some time home to get things cleaned and taken care of before we have to go back to work. We also have company coming on Thursday, Grammie and Poppa Bob!!!!!

Sea World ~ part 2

Here are the rest of the pictures from Sea World! It's SO hot out today, I am glad we went yesterday. It's supposed to be 109 in Abilene, and it's supposed to be 100 here. Poor Landon had enough heat and being outdoors yesterday, he doesn't want to leave Oma's house! I don't blame him.

After playing in the water we went over to the Azul theater, and watched the Dolphin Story.

It was a cute story, they had a baby dolphin and were explaining how they train them and stuff. Two years ago when we went the Beluga Whale had just had a baby. It was pretty cool to see how big it's gotten. The momma Beluga whale's name was Martha.

After that we went to see the Sharks and Coral Reef.

Then it was dolphin feeding time, our favorite thing!

We then stopped for some lunch. We always take a picnic lunch and go to the car to eat. We blast the air and just relax for a little bit. I'd rather have a nice fresh sandwhich with some veggies and fruit then a hot turkey leg or something when it's 100 outside!

After that it was the Believe, Killer Whales show.

Every time Landon would see the whales jump or something would happen, Landon would squeal with delight, it was SO cute to watch him and see the pure happiness and excitement on his face.

They had a baby whale there too, last summer she was pregnant with it, so neat to see that too!!

We were in the splash zone, but were fortunate to just get a mist from the whales!

After that it was waterpark time, Tina and I sat in the shade, I attempted to get some sun on my pasty white legs while the boys played. Then it was time to head home!

It was such a fun day, I think we all enjoyed ourselves.

Landon fell asleep pretty quick in the car, we expected that. We of course his rush hour traffic getting out of San Antonio, I love big cities, but the traffic does suck. I kinda wish we would have stay on the Riverwalk or something, but the day couldn't have been any better!

Sea World ~ San Antonio

We did our yearly Sea World trip today! Sea World allows Military members to get in to their park for free, once a year. (It's actually any Anheuser Busch Theme park, you can get in once a year to any of them for free.) We wanted to go this year before it got too hot, since last year I think we nearly melted away from the heat, as well as being lost in all the crowds of sweaty, crabby, sun screened smelling people. When we planned it, we checked the weather, and what would you know, it was only supposed to be 99 today. Ha! I guess our idea of going before it got too hot was out the door. When we left the park today, it was only 101 out :)

Greg's parents live about 60 miles from San Antonio, so we drove in last night and got up this morning and hit the road. We arrived right at opening, and it was busy, but nothing like the past times. They opened a new park, a Sesame Street themed kids area, which is really nice, and Landon LOVED it. We missed the actual water park opening by one day, it opens tomorrow! Landon got to ride a roller coaster and another ride, as well as climbing rope nets, walking through tunnels and getting wet in the water area, his favorite place of the day. We saw a few shows, looked at the aquariums, fed the dolphins, looked through shops, had some snacks and really enjoyed our day. It was warm out, but it wasn't crowded, and there was a breeze, which made the heat tolerable. All in all, it was a great day and we all had a lot of fun!!!!

(I went to add all the pictures I wanted to share and there was 40 of them, so I will do a few today, and a few more tomorrow, I don't wan to picture over load you!)

We were all the way in the back, it was a cute ride, Landon LOVED it

I about ate the pavement when I came down from the next, my flip flop got stuck, I was barely able to catch myself, HOW embarrassing!

It was pretty high up, and Landon was a little scared.

Then they went through the tunnels and then came down. It was warm, so it was water park time.

I am so happy we still have three full days off, what can we get in to next? Do you have any plans for Memorial Day weekend? If so, have fun and be safe! (More pictures to come tomorrow.)
