I almost didn't blog. My laptop is taking FOREVER to get going, and it's frustrating the tar out of me. I only have so long before the wee ones see me and start to bug me, and get mad that I am doing something other than paying attention to them!
1. Greg is TDY. He left last week, and will be back on Valentine's Day. He is just taking a class, nothing special. But of course the day he left I was in the doctors with Owen because he had another ear infection. It's crazy because I've gotten so USED to him being home. It's weird with him gone. When he was a firefighter his schedule was crazy so it was never a big deal. Things have been normal since he crossed trained.
2. Owen is doing good with all his allergy stuff. He of course had another ear infection. We went through his antibiotics, and he is MUCH better. His sleeping was great when we took him off soy, then it went down hill. I thought for sure I was screwed. I would never ever get any sleep again. But since we figured his ear was bothering him, and he's been on the meds, he is sleeping again. Whew! His new thing though, since he is sleeping pretty good and hard, he is up at the butt crack of dawn. Like 5am, or 530. Yikes. I can't complain if he is sleeping though, right?

3. Owen is talking like crazy. He repeats everything. Greg and I were sitting on the couch playing a game and Greg said, shit, and clear as day, Owen repeated it. Several times. So hard to keep a straight face, but we haven't heard it since. He says some funny things and recognizes lots of stuff now. He points to words or letters and says, "q, r, o, a" It's really cute. He also says, "Yes Sir" now. I love that one. He is a smart cookie, and STUBBORN. Oh my. He is climbing every where and on everything.
4. Landon is doing great with school and reading. He's been headache free since the 23 of Jan. I am still waiting for his referral junk to be over with. I talked to a lady today, and looks like things are finally being taken care of. Hopefully we will get an appointment soon.
5. Last week we had a cold snap. It's been snowing like crazy. And of course the days after Greg left it was 25 below for two days straight. It was icy and COLD. Which meant we were trapped inside. Landon didn't have school for two days, and finally went back Friday. With Greg being gone, Landon being home, and us being stuck, I was starting to loose my mind!
6. Landon had his buddy spend the night Saturday night. I've realized how different boys and girls are. Like WAY different. The older Landon gets, the more I am like thinking to myself, "What in the world." Greg reassures me, he is a boy, it's normal.
7. Landon got all his Valentines addressed and ready for Friday. We also just finished his robot box, I will take a picture later. Turned out cute I think. Landon is writing so clear now. He is reading like a champ and spelling great. He is having spelling tests now, his first one he got 100. This past week due to the ice it was rescheduled to this week, but he did great with the words. Makes me proud, I hope he keeps wanting to learn, and absorbing everything.
8. I failed at my New Year's resolution to loose 8 lbs by Feb. I didn't loose a single pound, or gain any, so that's good. With everything going on, I've been absolutely exhausted. With everything going on, I was going to the gym a few times a week, and it made me even more tired. Now that things have settled down, when Greg gets back I am going to start back. I am ready for warm weather so I don't have to go to the gym, I want to run outside!
9. I got a Michael Kors wallet for Christmas. I'd been eyeing a bag for a while. I couldn't fathom spending money on a bag, but I had a gift card. I finally broke down and just bought it. I only spent $28 on it, and I LOVE IT. I still take the diaper bag, but I grab my purse when we go in the store. (I've attempted to post a picture, but this stupid computer is not letting me upload it, grrr)
10. We are thinking of moving off base. Why? Well base housing is nice and all, but it's a tad cramped. I hate being connected to someone. I hate the small yard. I do love how new it is. I love that if something breaks, we just call. I love the safety. I love Greg coming home for lunch and after PT. I love that Landon can go play. I love the parks and splash pad. I love all the kids around. I love that we don't have to worry about any bills. But, our full BAH goes to the company. Before you never worried, but we are privatized here. So our BAH is $1,520 or somewhere around there. For that price, and even lower, we can get a house, double the size of what we have now. A basement, large yard, and nice house. Why not? BAH goes up every year, not much, but we don't see a penny of that. Nothing changes. It's something we've been talking about and thinking about. If we do, it'll be beginning of summer. Like I said, we are talking about it, and looking around.
I hope my ten things didn't bore you!
