Last night Landon and I went to Chuck E' Cheese's for one of his friends birthday. She is in his class at school. She turned two. I wasn't sure how Landon was going to do, if he would be in to it or not. Boy oh boy was I wrong! He loved it with out a doubt. Each child got a cup with tokens. Landon thought that was the best thing in the world.
For the record I did not take his tokens, I simply snuck his tokens while he was happily playing with his fish, we would have never left otherwise!
You know I how previously blogged about meal planning and not eating out so much? We started 3 weeks ago. We saved almost $300 on groceries and a crazy amount on eating out. (for the month of July)I hope it continues. Actually, It will continue, Greg and I were talking and we are really happy with how it is going. The meal planning and grocery shopping is working out fantastic. We seem to be wasting little to no food. As to before, well, it was pretty bad.
For dinner tonight we made 'Onion Chicken.' I don't know where this recipe came from, I just know Greg's mom made it, and Greg really likes to cook it. It is one of those simple 4 ingredient recipes, and it tastes GREAT!
1 Box Lipton Onion Soup
Heavy Whipping Cream
Chicken tenders (fresh and or defrosted)
Egg Noodles
Egg Noodles
Place chicken in baking dish, pour cream over chicken covering. Mix/stir in onion soup packets. Bake at 375 40-45 min. In the mean time, cook the noodles and drain. When chicken is cooked all the way, the top will brown a little then we just put some noddles on our plate and put some chicken and sauce on top and eat! Very simple, and really good. The amount of heavy whipping cream all depends on how big of a dish you use, and how much chicken you have. I bought a big thing of it and we only used half of it.
Now that we all have full bellies, it time for dessert! I think we are going to go to Marble Slab and get an ice cream and the walk around Pet Smart or something when we are done, let Landon look at all the animals. Ahh it's the simple things in life.....
