Splishin' and a Splashin'

Check out my sweet little boy that fell asleep in the car today. It doesn' happen too often any more, but he looked so peaceful. We just finished grocery shoppin, yes that will wear anyone out and we were on our short drive home......

I tried to transfer that sweet little boy to his bed, but I knew it was time for him to potty and I had to put a pull-up on him for nap, so he woke up. I quickly put a pull-up on and Landon told me he wanted to sleep on the couch. Ok, I needed to get groceries put away. I laid him on the couch and off to the kitchen I went. Greg was helping put things away when were hear, "I'm not tiredddd mommmmy!!!" What? Yes that sweet little face was bouncing on the couch.

It was sunny and warm out, time for a swim! Greg and I caught some rays and Landon played in the ice cold water with his fishes.

He refused to sit for a while. I don't blame him, it was super cold! Then he went down the slide, FACE first. Ha! He was wet and mad!!!!

Then he was swimming around like a little fishes, splashing and playing. He kept calling for us to get in, so of course daddy got in with Landon.

I think Greg and I got some color. I hope so, this white girl needs a little sun! Today is the first day i've put on shorts, usually I wear capris. It feels GREAT to have shorts on. I think I need to go back to Old Navy and get some more! And maybe find a nice fold out chair for sun bathing, the one we have now isn't so comfy! ha!

Swingin' Good Time!

What a wonderful Saturday we had! A busy one. I woke up and cleaned away, then Greg mowed and did yard work in the front and Landon and I went out back and picked weeds and swung on the swing set. After a shower it was off to lunch at TaMollys, then a quick stop at Old Navy. They were having a sale, graphic Tees for $3! We got Greg one that says, "Don't bother me I'm watching the game." and Landon one that says, "Dad's #1 Fan." Very cute. We walked through PetSmart. I am so surprised we didn't come out with a fish tank and fish. Landon was in pure HEAVEN! HE loved it sooooo much. He was so excited, I wished I'd had a video camera.

Mmmmm, guess who's been in the kitchen tonight? Yep! This time I tried a box cake instead of the one from scratch. I think I have the frosting down pat and the raspberry puree. Greg said he preferred the cake from scratch over the boxed one. But I liked both. It hit the spot! It didn't take me nearly as long as the first time, AND the kitchen wasn't as dirty! That's always a plus, I hate cleaning the kitchen after a big cooking project. I'll post the recepie tomorrow maybe, even if it's just the frosting, it's very good, almost refreshing.
A big siesta after cake? nah, just two kids being silly and having fun outside! Zoey is hanging out over here for a few hours while her mommy and daddy spend some time together before daddy leaves. Landon and Zoey of course are having a blast, espcially on Landon's new swing set!

Hey even Lukie Dukie wanted some of the action tonight! Look how dirty his pretty white coat is, He was rolling all around in the dirt. He likes to go out there and sleep on the trampoline. But Luke likes to sleep ANYWHERE! He's a cat, a nosey one at that.

I was tossing a small squishy soccer ball at them when they were swinging, I've never heard kids laugh so hard in my life. It was very amusing and funny to them.

The kiddos have been bathed and are now tossing every book in Landon's book case on the floor. Hey, they are sitting there looking at them and having fun, that's all that matters. I'll clean it in the morning. Greg just enjoyed his 2nd piece of cake. What a piggy. Greg and I were also discussing fish. We went to a local Pet Shop this afternoon after naps and they had a pretty good fish section. They had some beautiful salt water aquariums. They of course had a "nemo" fish and "dorie" fish. Landon again was in heaven. He did not want to leave that fish tank! The "dorie" fish was going in and out of the rocks and Landon thought she was playing hide and seek. I guess we should get a small fish tank for the boy. I think he would LOVE it, no I KNOW he would love it! After seeing how much he loved the fishes and how much he enjoyed it makes us even more eager to head down to Sea World San Antonio! Hope everyone is having a nice weekend!

Day Dreamer

I'm rockin out to my iPod, running a pretty good pace, almost finished. I get to a really good song I remember listening to in high school. (A sublime song) I am thinking about our up coming vacation (if my leave is approved) I start to cool off and drop my speed to a fast paced walk. I'm smiling as the song is playing, thinking about my vacation, thinking about high school, thinking about how great it felt to run, then the song comes to a part where it gets quiet. The band started talking and it literally scared the LIVING DAY LIGHTS out of me! I felt like someone tapped on my shoulder and said 'hey'. I literally JUMPED on the treadmill and looked to my right side and behind me. No one around. How weird, I guess I was day dreaming more than I thought, My heart was already racing from running, now it was beating even FASTER because I thought someone tapped on my shoulder. I looked quickly around to make sure no one saw me freak out. Everyone was faced forward towards the TVs. THANK GOD! How embarrassing.
Today was CRAZY at work. One of 'those' days. I wanted to come home and crash on the couch. I did for about 5 min, Greg is still over there snoring. PUNK! I've been looking around for good deals for tickets and trying to map out distances to Caifornia, Arizona and all that. It just overwhelms me. Tickets are VERY expensive. For three of us to fly round trip it would be over $1,000 bucks. Driving, well, it would take us a while. I am not sure if I am ready for that long of a trip with a 2 1/2 year old. Our back up is to hang out here, Go to San Antonio and Sea World. Maybe hit all the Zoo's around Texas. RELAX, Maybe even the beach? Who knows, I am going to ask tomorrow if they are approving my leave, they say they can only tell us two weeks out, How am I supposed to plan 2 weeks out???????
I had a conference with Landon's teacher today. It went well. I guess he's been pretty busy. He's a very active child, not OVERLY active, just busy. His teacher said he talks VERY well and expresses himself great. Whew, made me happy. We do have to work on self help skills, dressing and un-dressing himself. hm, I guess mommy does it too much for him. Oops, it's hard. Time to go play on the swing set before it pours down rain, wait, it's sprinkling, Dang it. Ok I posted this and it was ONE LONG paragraph, ugh, it frustrates me. I just don't know what to do. GRRRRR

Almost too quiet

Don't you hate when company leaves? It's always nice to have company. Especially the company you have is someone you don't see very often. We had a really great weekend with my Mom and Bob. They left today while I was at work. We came home to a dark and quiet house, which was kinda sad. Landon and I found a few notes from Grammie around then we sat on the couch. After about 20 min passed Landon said, "Where's poppagrammie?" (yea poppa and grammie ONE word!) I told him they left. He just said, "oh." Kinda sad.
So now our house is quiet. I mean, not really quiet, I have a two year old for heavens sake. I've had the TV off and I've been cleaning and Landon's been following me around and playing with his fishes. I decided I needed a soda. I told Landon, "Mommy needs a soda, let's go to the store." Landon's reply, "oh, Landon needs chocolate milk!" So off to the store we went.

I came home from work yesterday and the above picture is what I saw! Yes Grammie, Poppa Bob, Greg and Landon were busy while I was away. Landon LOVES his new swing set, thanks poppa and grammie. Half way in between we had to make a stop, it was warm out and the boys were thirsty!

YES Landon is in just undies. That is his new "thing" lately. He even wants to go with out those most of the time, then we get him rubbing and shaking his cute little butt at us singing "shake your body!" Not booty, he actually says body.

Landon did not want to wait till all the bolts were tightened. So while Poppa was tightening them Landon was checking out his slide, swing and mini tramopline!

Once they were done it was dinner time so we went to Texas Road House for dinner. It was Mom and Bob's first time. Of course they loved it! Who doesn't?

WHY on earth does my child REFUSE to look at a camera? It's not like I don't take a million pictures of him. I downloaded 378 pictures today for crying out loud. You would think he would be used to it by now.
Lanodn is hollering for a bath! Wipeout is coming on tonight so I'd better hurry!!!!!! Thanks again for everything Poppa Bob and Grammie! We had fun, hope you guys have fun in Dallas on the rest of your trip!

All Together FINALLY

SIX years, It has been six years since I have seen my Step Sister Lisa. I can't believe it, I actually didn't even realize it had been that long. But it has. I've never even met her kids! Yesterday they were close to here so they stopped by on their way home from a camping trip! I know it was great for my mom and Bob to have all (Well almost all) the grandkids together. Greg BBQ'd, in the rain. Landon ran in and out the entire time getting his fishes and Nemo wet. Pretty much as soon as the food was ready Tim, Lisa and all the kiddos showed up!

Wyatt (5), Olivia (almost 3) and Landon (2 1/2) hanging out having Capri Son's with Grammie and Poppa Bob. Baby Robbie was in the living room with mommy.

After eatting the kiddos ran around playing and having a great time. They tackled Poppa and Olivia and Wyatt checked out alllll of Landon's toys. Landon was so cute with the baby. When they first got here Landon immediatly went to Robbie and was rubbing his arms and feet. My mom asked if he wanted a brother or sister. His answer, "No!" haha

Poppa was getting lots of hugs from all the grand kids. It was nice to see them together and playing. I still can't believe it had been so long since I'd seen Lisa. She just lives in Dallas too. Next time we head out we definetly have to hang out and let the kiddos play again.

It just baffles me how much they all look alike. They have the same skin color and eye color. All of them!!

It was a surprise visit which I think was enjoyed by all. And why when I take or TRY to take pictures my child turns in to a wild child? He was bouncing all around and being sooo silly. I did get some good pictures of them all. Landon REFUSES to look at the camera. What a stubborn lil guy!
Happy Memorial Day everyone! Thanks to all of our service members!!!

I'm Baaaaack!

Gosh I can't believe it's been so long since I've blogged. Actually I can, it was a long but short week if that makes any sense at all. I was feeling a little under the weather all week. I'm thinking it was just allergies, poor Landon seems to be suffering too. I've been giving him his Zyrtec again and that seems to be helping him out. Around here we refer to it as "Boogie Medicine." That's how we get him to take it. He KNOWS it's going to bring him some relief!

On Thursday at work we released butterfly's. Landon's class did too. It was actually really neat because we got them as tiny little caterpillars and then watched them become butterfly's over the past few weeks. Landon seemed pretty amazed by it, every morning for the past few weeks when I would drop him off we would have to check out the butterfly's. Here are some pictures below at the release. I would post more but there are pictures of his class and I'd hate to post them on here and make someone mad...know what I mean?

When we were leaving there was a butterfly out by our car and Landon chased it. He kept running and running and running. A few times he got super close to it and then it would fly away. I was nervous he was going to step on it. As did his fellow classmates when a few of them landed during the release! (yes that is a 2 year old for you)

On Friday Greg planned a big BBQ and poker night. We made lots of dips and finger foods as well as burgers and hot dogs. Then it was off to the garage to play poker. They could have played in the house but I think the guys were more comfortable out there. OH WELL! Then after they began playing beer pong. It was fun. A lot of work for me like always, but I enjoy it.
I just love pictures of Landon sleeping. He's been sleeping and napping in his bed I don't want to ever bother him, but because he hasn't been feeling very well and stuffed he woke up VERY upset yesterday and so he slept on the couch for a bit. I HAD to take a picture of my baby. He's not a baby anymore, he is getting sooo big!

My Mom and Bob came in yesterday from California. Landon was excited and when we knew they were close we HAD to wait outside. He is having lot of fun and enjoying being spoiled rotten and all the attention, BUT he's also been clingy and emotional. NOT FEELING well. Which stinks. I hope he gets over it.
I got my Mom a few Texas things to welcome her to the great state of Texas, ha! I got her some cups, a boot coffee cup and this metal Texas sign. Um mom, it's NOT a necklace......

So silly. I told her I'm putting it on my blog! hahhaha she just laughed. We went out to lunch today to Jason's Deli. It was, like always, YUMMY. Landon played with his fishes while his pizza cooled off then he devoured it. He looks so handsome sitting there. He is turning into a little boy.

Daddy tried to get him to do the "thumbs up" but Landon got one little finger up. We're working on it. So now we are hanging out. I am boiling potato's for potato salad. We are going to BBQ some chicken and sausage. Let's just hope it doesn't rain. We had a GOOD thunder/lightening storm last night. I love them! I always sleep so good during them. Do you? We were hoping Tim and Lisa and all the kiddos were going to stop by today. If they do we will take LOTS of pictures and post them.

So what are your plans for Memorial Day? Greg unfortunately has to work. We are just going to enjoy our company, probably do some shopping and RELAX! I have been looking forward to this weekend for a while! Happy Memorial Day! (Thanks to all of you as well for your pointers for blogging, I guess I am going to have to just use the default if I want it to not take as long!)

Technical Difficulties

I am really starting to get frustrated with this thing. I hate that I have to change the font, color and size everytime I get on here to blog, and especially in between pictures and stuff. That makes it take even longer to blog. So all you fellow bloggers, HELP! Is there something I can do to save the font, size and color so when I come back or no matter when I type it is the same? I am also having trouble with spacing. I hate for it to look like one LONGGGGGG post. BORING. Nobody wants to read a rambling blog, NOT that anyone really reads my blog anyway...haha

I am testing to see if there is a space. And also, how do I do it when I want to make a link have a name and when you click on the name it goes to the link? I see people do it all the time. I tried but the whole web address comes up, looks SILLY TO ME! PLEASE SOMEONE point me in the right direction!

.....Blah.....

**I need some help, I don't understand why I don't get spacing between my paragraphs. It shows up when I am typing then when I post it's not there. It looks like one big paragraph. I HATE THAT! HELP?!?!?!?!?!
Ahhh, what a day. It was gorgeous out today. PERFECT weather! So perfect I went for a quick run outside before I headed home from work. I needed a good run today, it was one of those Monday morning days at work. I am so happy it is a 4 day work week with a 4 day weekend! I can't wait, I am also happy because my
mamma-san will be here.
How could anyone sit inside when the weather was so nice? Not us, we planted a tree, and some bushes that have patiently been waiting to be planted. I should have taken pictures, but I didn't want to go in the house to get my camera. We watered and fertilized the grass in the front. We didn't do the back, we would just be fertilizing weeds! ha! Oh a quick funny story. Greg was BBQing Turkey burgers tonight. I was inside with Landon and when Greg came in to wash his hands he noticed a hornet inside on the kitchen window. Greg tried to smash it, nope. Landon was eating. I was standing near him. Greg swatted again. Nothing. It started flying around and my husband was swatting a dish towel at it. Landon was sitting in his chair laughing and then Greg swatted it and it flew right at me. AHHH! I screamed and ran, Landon cracked up. I come back, we couldn't find the hornet. Then Landon goes, "Right there daddy!" and pointed right to it. There it was. Greg finally got it!
I am watching the new Bachelorette right now. I watched Dancing with the Stars as well. I am sad Melissa didn't do as good as I wanted her to. But I do like all of the finalists. Ok time to finish my show and hit the sack. I need a good nights sleep, ohhhhhh how I hope and pray Landon sleeps good tonight.

Show Us Where you Live ~ Guest Rooms

It's that time of week again over at Kellys Korner. I am always so hesitant about doing this and then I get brave and go for it, that's why I am always a few days late. So this week it is guest bedrooms. We do have one, but remember we are in the Military and we do lots of moving so we don't have a lot of extra furniture or things. We left lots of stuff behind in Germany and our extra room also is a play room for Landon.

The above picture is walking into our guest room. That is our fancy computer area. Notice the printer sitting on the ground. VERY fancy we are. ha! Below is the left side of the room. I do like the little cut out in the wall. I put that book shelf in there recently. I got it at Ikea in Germany!

Landon was excited I was in there taking pictures. He likes to play on his train table when I am on the computer. When we have guests over I get out the air mattresses and we move the table to our room. That table is AWESOME, Landon LOVES it but it is soo big!

The ceilings are pretty cool, they kinda have an arch in them, and check out that fancy schmancy ceiling fan we have! High rollers we are!!

The walls are pretty bare. I am a little hesitant to do too much to it in case we have another baby. We desperately need some window treatments and wall color I know. Any suggestions, shoot em' my way pleaseeeee!

My husband is weird, yes I know. I can't leave the room with out them following me all around! Even the cats follow me! And below is the famous train table. And that is where the comfy air mattress goes when we have guests! Usually there is a ball pit in this room, but I got sick of picking balls up all the time. They seemed to end up all the way in our room!

That was the tour of my exciting guest bedroom/playroom. Hope you enjoyed it!
