Owen Gregor

Owen Gregor Teague

born on Tuesday June 25th @1134pm

he was

8lbs 13.5 oz, 21 inches long

We had a very excited big brother who wanted to be in the delivery room the entire time. He was so excited to see his brother.

We got to the hospital around 830am. I was 4 cm, 0% effaced. Greg was still in San Antonio and made it by 1230. I was only 5cm, 90% effaced when he arrived and I had just gotten my epidural. I was beyond happy to see him. My labor progressed pretty normal. I was scared pretty much the entire time and kinda moody.

By 805pm I was ready to push. I was still feeling the epidural and so they turned it off. I pushed for about and hour, turning side to side. By 9 I could feel everything. I continued to push and push and feel everything. The baby would come down when I pushed and when I stopped he'd move right back up. I was getting the hang of pushing and doing ok. By 1030 I was exhausted and in SO MUCH pain. This was a big baby. The dr decided to use the vacuum to see if it could help him come down. He was just too big. There was NO way he was coming out of me. So we decided to do a c-section. I was in so much pain and all I could do was try to not scream and scream through the contractions until the epi was working again. I remember sleeping because they gave me something to take the edge off. Next thing I know it was time....

Owen was born at 1134pm, he was a big boy!

He was so laid back and easy going, not to mention he looks JUST like his big brother.

It was a long night. But we were so happy to have him here finally.

We had lots of visitors the next day. It's all kinda blurry. Owen had a cut on the back of his head from the vacuum. Owen was having a hard time keeping his blood sugars up. He was having a hard time eating. They wanted to keep him in the nursery Wednesday night to try to get him to eat and to try to get his sugars up. The brought him to us Thursday morning. I was so happy to see him. We snuggled and snuggled, enjoyed our morning together and tried to get him to eat. They took him to the nursery for his check with his pediatrician about 7 something. By 8 the dr was in talking to us saying they noticed his eyes moving side to side when he ate. They wanted to observe his next feeding. By 1130, lunch was just dropped off, my family and Landon were in the room and waiting for Owen. Then the NICU doctor walks in and introduces himself. He said while they were observing him eating his eyes rolled back and they saw the whites of his eyes. They thought he had a seizure.

They wanted to keep him for observation and put him on phenobarbital in case he was going to have more seizure's. We were devastated. We got to go visit in the NICU. Again, lots of this is a blur I was so upset when I saw him. He was just in our arms and now he was sleeping in bed under a warmer with needles and cords galore. They ran a CT scan to see if he had something wrong in his head and ordered an EEG. They of course did lots of blood work to try to get some answers. Turns out his white blood cell count is LOW. They are perplexed as to why it's so low and he is doing and looks fine.

I got released Friday night. I've been a big ball of emotions. Owen is continuing to slowly do better. His white blood cells are up a tad, and they are still running tons of tests to figure out what it is and try to treat it. They talked of moving him to Cooks in FT. Worth, but as of today they are thinking they won't have to. They say with his counts so low he is like someone who's just gone through chemo. It's so sad.

I've been in lots of pain. Pain from the surgery, then pain from pushing for 3 hours, then pain from leaving my baby at the hospital, to pain in my breasts because my milk has come in. I'm in pain because my legs and feet are SO SWOLLEN I can't be up on them at all. Then I was in pain because I had to pass my first BM. I'm hoping after today things will ease up and I'll be able to move around more. My section site is feeling pretty good. If could just get this swelling under control. My dr did call in a med to help, but I feel like I am on SO many meds, I'd hate to take another. I am on pain pills as needed, iron pills because my iron is low, thyroid pill, prenatal vitamin, stool softener, and now a diuretic. (I haven't even gotten it from the pharmacy yet)

Oh yeah, my pointer finer and middle finger on my right hand are still numb. Not sure why, and today I noticed that my right knee is kinda numb. I'm not sure if that's from the swelling or what....I just know I am a big mess.

I commend you if you made it through all this. I will def blog daily now and update and add pictures from the course of our hospital stay. If you could just say a little prayer for our sweet Owen that he gets better and we get to bring him home soon. I miss him so much and it's hard to be away from him....

Still pregnant!

Yep you guessed it. I am STILL pregnant. I am now 40 weeks 2 days. I'm Swollen and very uncomfortable! It's a little after 4am, and I'm wide awake, already, like usual. I've got a million and one things running through my head. One thing is, is I didn't think I would be in this spot. The way things were going 3 weeks ago, I thought for sure Owen would have been here by now. We were so worried he would come early and Greg wouldn't make it or something. Now I'm starting to worry again.

Greg heads back to San Antonio tonight. He has his final testing and evaluations Monday and Tuesday which are supposed to take all day. What if I have to have a c section Monday after going to my appt? That's a short notice. What if qGreg can't come? What if they schedule it for 5am Tuesday? Ugh. I just don't know what I would do. What if I could hold off til wednesday? Then would it be better? I just can't imagine going through this with out Greg by my side. Especially a major surgery. I remember how hard it was when I had it with Landon and how much I relied on Greg for help and how much he did for me.

I often wonder if trying for a VBAC was the right thing? I also didn't know that my dr was going to be on vacay when I was due. Im sure if he was here we would have done something by now. They can't just do what I beg for, I can't just show up to labor and delivery and demand they take this baby out. It would be nice.

The day isn't over yet. I thought for sure the way I was feeling yesterday that something was going to happen. Why can't anything be easy for me? I often wonder that. I do need to try to keep my head up and be thankful I am ok and the baby is still doing well.

I guess I'd better get off the bedroom floor, turn the iPad off (I miss my lap top, boo) and try to crawl back into bed and get some rest..... If that's even poissble....

40weeks

40 week pregnancy highlights

How far along: 40 weeks! Not many people can say they made it to their due date. What would be even better if I actually had him on my due date!!!

Size of baby: 10 days ago they were estimating 7.9 lbs, I'm sure he is well over 8 now. When she measured my belly today she said my belly is big and it measured 39 weeks. According to baby center you are the size of a small pumpkin. Feels about right or a huge watermelon!

Gender: still a boy!

Belly button: it's popped, isn't that supposed to mean you are 'done'?

Total weight gain: I lost a pound from last week. So I think I'm still at 35, ewww!!

Maternity clothes: yes. I put on my sleep shirt, usually just an old shirt and it wouldn't cover my belly!

Sleep: last night was great. Other than that I've been sleeping terrible. I've been waking up with lots and lots of pain in my hips and legs and can barely walk. Once I get going I feel ok but it's been a hard week. If I wake up I tend to stay awake for hours at a time. I've got so much stuff going on, my brain is going 100 mph!

What I miss: feeling normal, not having crazy thoughts and emotions.

Cravings: none.

Symptoms: you name it I've got it.

Best moment: not really sure this week. Hearing today that the baby is ok??

What I'm looking forward to mist: having Owen! Hopefully ASAP

I had a dr appointment today. My dr is on vacay so I saw the NP. She is so sweet. My bp was a tad high but nothing to be concerned about. My weight was good, and so was my urine. She checked me and I am still 2 cm she said maybe not even a 2, more like a 1. I'm still -1 station and maybe 70% effaced. She said his head is low low and right there pushing on her hand. She hooked me up to the monitor and they let me sit on there for about 20 min. He looks great and it showed some contractions while I was hooked up. She said probably from her checking me and making me irritated. She said she wants to see me back Monday. And we can go from there. When I was getting checked out the lady was like let's get you in early enough so if he has to do a c section maybe ha can that day. That's exactly what I don't want to happen. Greg is already on his way home for the weekend. I'd hate for him to drive home Sunday night, then turn around Monday drive back, possibly make it back and then head right back to San Antonio. Then I'd have to bring a baby home alone and I know how hard that would be for Greg. And not to mention how hard it would be on me. I'm a great big ball of emotions right now. I know it's still Friday and I have the weekend, but hearing I've made no progress has totally brought me down.

Hello in there?

Alright little man, I know you are nice and cozy inside of my belly, and just hanging out til who knows when, but mommy is getting very anxious and uncomfortable. I forgot how miserable you can feel at times during the last week. When you decide to twist and turn and practice your karate moves, OUCH. Daddy, Landon and I are ready to meet you and have you here. I can't wait to see your little face.

You don't have to wait til your due date or bake any longer than that. We technically only have 2 days til you are "due". We are ready for you! Landon and I have the house all ready. I got my toes painted, my hair cut ( as well as daddy and Landon)your car seat is ready, the bags are packed and the car is filed with gas. The only thing left we have to do is an oil change in the car. Landon and I are headed out to do that in a few. Oh and as soon as daddy gets a phone call he will be on his way, so it's ok to come!!!!

We are so ready to meet you and have you here in our arms! So little baby Owen ( as your big brother calls you) it's time for your debut!!!!! Don't be shy.

Love you,

Mommy

Still Baking Away

Owen's still just a bakin' away! I begged and pleaded for this baby to stay put til my due date with Greg being gone. I guess he was listening. We still have 5 days til we are "due" and I'm thinking I'm going to go over.... For some reason my babies like to bake away and not come out.

We've enjoyed a nice weekend with Greg being home, even though we didn't have the baby and we haven't had a single showing. We are happy we got to send time together and happy Greg gets to come home.

Yesterday the boys went golfing in the morning. I stayed home an cleaned. They brought home lunch and the we ran some errands. We went to TJ Maxx, The Children's Place and Pet Smart. Then got some groceries at HEB. After dinner we went to the sno-cone place and all got one. Tben we headed over to the mall to see if we could find a power supply cord for our lap top. It's still not working and we are thinking its the cord. They had one and it was pricey, we found some for cheap online and need to order one. Hopefully we can get one ordered and get it before this baby comes. I was determined to walk as much as possible yesterday to see if Owen would come, but nah!

This morning Landon and I made breakfast in bed for greg, Landons idea! We made bacon, cinnamon/vanilla pancakes and coffee. Landon was SO excited to do this.

After lunch Greg and Landon went to the base pool to swim. I went and got a pedicure then came home. we've just been hanging out this afternoon.. Greg is heading back after dinner. I hate to see him go. I told him watch, you'll get home tonight and you are going to have to drive back. It's not funny at all, but I can see that happenig with our luck lately!!

I just wanted to do a quick update. Hopefully I can get my lap top up and running again so I can get some pictures on here. Until then, please say a prayer for us that something happens with this house or Owen decides to come!!!!

Happy fathers day to my wonderful dad, Bob, Kenny and of course Greg. Greg you are an amazing father to Landon, he loves you to the moon and back and he is so lucky to call you daddy!

39 Weeks

Pregnancy highlights: How far along: 39 weeks!!! Size of baby: at my ultrasound they guessed about 7.9 lbs to 7. 12. Total weight gain: no need to go there right now! Hahah Maternity clothes: yes! My shirts are getting short because my belly is sticking out so far. Sleep: not sleeping good. If I was up at night I tend to lay there awake any where from 30 mins to 3 hours!! What I miss: not being swollen. Being able to go longer than 10 min without having to stop at the restroom. Being able to snuggle close with Landon. Cravings: nothing really. I wanted some chips today so I got some Ruffles with ranch and jalapeƱo. They are new and yummy!!!! Symptoms: aching bones and hips, sore everything, belly button seems popped at times. Best moment: seeing Owen on the ultrasound. What I'm looking forward to most: having Owen and seeing what he looks like. Seeing Owen and Landon together!!! This has been a crazy week. Emotions have been so up and down. It's been hot, we haven't had any showings. I am enjoying my time with Landon, Greg is home for the weekend and we are looking forward to spending Father's day weekend with him. The laptop is still not turning on, gregs trying to fix it as I type this. I hope he gets it fixed soon so when Owen arrives I can blog. I'm not liking this blogging on the iPad!!!

LOVE my boy

I'm really enjoying my time home with Landon. It's been nice that it's just him and I and we are getting to spend so much time together before this baby comes. I'm trying to make our time together special and do special things with him.

This morning my sweet friend Meagan invited us over to go swimming. Landon's been begging to go swimming since we were in San Antonio. We went around 1030 before it got too hot, the water was a tad cold but he got right in. He played on the stairs and 'dived' in the pool. Meagan got in with him while I sat with my feet inside. The pool looked so refreshing, I would have loved to just jump in and swim. Being hot, swollen and pregnant it was so tempting. But I refrained. haha! Meagan brought some frozen blueberries and he talked about those blueberries the entire way home. Looks like we are going to buy some fresh blueberries and freeze them up! It was so nice to get out and Landon got his swimming in. Thank you Meagan!

It felt nice while I sat with my feet in the water, but I didn't realize once we walked back to the car how hot I was. We got changed and I asked Landon what he wanted to do next. He of course replied with "Go out to eat!" He loves to go out to eat. So I asked where and he said Schlotzsky's. SO over to Schlotzky's we went to have lunch. I told him we've been going out to eat too much lately and it gets expensive he replied with, "Well can we just take it home and eat there so it's not to expensive?" Silly boy. I was ready for a nap and he was too according to how he looked in the car.....

I thought swimming and a nice full belly he would for sure nap. Yeah, wishful thinking Priscilla! When we got home I pulled the shade down, got him his pillow and he laid on the couch. I sat down on the other couch and got comfy. I thought he'd fallen asleep, then I hear, "I'm done napping, I'm bored of this" and got up to play. What??? I was so looking forward to a nap! Dang it!

In the middle of me typing this blog I set the lap top down on the ground to go get my water and it turned off. Now I can't get the dang thing to turn back on.. So I'm going to try to finish this on the iPad. The pictures of Landon on the couch just melt my heart. He wants to be right next to me. He is so lovey and snuggly. I can't believe how big he is, he can stretch out along the couch. It's just crazy. I've really enjoyed my time home with Landon. I think taking these few weeks off before Owen arrives is tbe best thing I could have done! I do know I am ready to have this little guy, I can't wait to see Landon as a big brother!!!

9 Days?

Only 9 days til my due date. I can't believe it's come so fast. These last few weeks just drag by. Every little twinge, pain, tiny bit of pressure make you curious if it's going to happen soon. At least for me that's how it feels. Sometimes it's hard to decipher between a stomach ache, a gas bubble and a contraction. They all kinda feel the same!

Tonight for some reason I felt the need to go back through our bags, go through the baby stuff in the room and make sure I have everything. I also packed Landon's lunch box with snacks and juice. I have a list on the counter so if i go into labor I know what to grab. I am making sure my camera stays in my purse, that the iPad is staying charged as well as my phone. I have a few bills due around the 20th, and for some reason tonight I went through and wrote the checks and got them ready to send out. They'll be early, that's fine, but makes me feel better to get them done. I kinda felt like cooking tonight so I made Landon some Velvetta Shells and Cheese, sliced ham and broccoli. Believe it or not, he ate it all. He went through his mac n cheese stage and hasn't eaten it in forever. Such a big boy now. So I've pretty much spent my afternoon making sure that everything is ready again.

This morning was a slow morning. We just hung out, watched cartoons, slowly ate breakfast, slowly got ready for the day. We eventually left the house about 130pm. We went over to the mall. I wanted to walk, and it's warm again so I figured that was the best place. Of course we had to stop and let Landon play in the play area. There was a lot of kids there, and I am so lucky that Landon is so sweet and careful. He always tells the kids "scuse me." He always watches out for the little ones, and just kinda plays by himself. When I tell him it's time to go he says, "Okay!" and we leave. Such a big boy now. Makes his momma proud!

We ended up at Kirkland's again. Everything is on sale right now, and I wanted to go back and look again. I ended up getting those darn red pillows that were on sale and a green pitcher with red, orange and yellow flowers in it. I only spent $20, but it's worth it I think. We also stopped at the candy shop because they have a huge spinning rack of stuffed animals by the front, the beanie baby ones. Landon picked out a round tiger looking thing, It's pretty cute, and he seems to be in love with it. I've said this time and time before, there is nothing better then seeing your child happy. Simple little things like that is what life's all about.

Here are a few pictures of the stuff we bought today.

They should be updating them on the website, and I am hoping we get some more showings and traffic. We need lots and lots of prayers that this house sells, we may need a small miracle!

Only 9 days till my bun in the oven should be done, and only 48 days till we move to Colorado. Please oh please oh please say a prayer for us about this baby coming soon, and something happening with this house!!!

38 1/2 week Doctors Appointment

This morning I had my 38 almost 39 week doctors appointment. I was so excited because I was having an ultrasound, and hadn't had one in so long. I was up at like 4am and could not fall back to sleep. I think I finally dozed off about 6 and was up by 630am. Landon woke up scared again, and ended up back in my bed. I was SO tired and him crying and calling me was getting tiring. It's hard to get up and down, in and out of my bed! haha.

My ultrasound appointment lasted from 10-1110. It was long. We got to see Owen, he looked SO big on the screen. She did her measurements, had a hard time getting some because he is so big. We got to see him grab his feet, give a thumbs up, open his mouth, move his head in a "no" manner and we could even see a little fuzz on his head. By the time we were done I was shaking, sweaty and uncomfortable. My blood sugar was low, I could tell. We walked over to my Doctors and I ate a fruit snack and kinda started to feel better. I got seen pretty fast. I gained 4lbs. UGH! But I'm swollen, so I am hoping that has something to do with it. That's what I'm telling myself!!! I got checked, I am still at 2cm, this time 60% effaced and very soft and +1 station. He said my membranes were dying to be scrapped. I asked why he wouldn't scrape them, and he said he would. OH MY GOSH! I had them scrapped with Landon and I don't remember how it felt, I knew it was uncomfortable, but I don't remember how painful it was. It hurt so bad.

On another note he found two doctors who are committed to delivering me if I go in to labor while he is away! One doctor will be from this Friday to Monday. And the other will be Mon-Fri next week! That is great news. I am happy to hear I have a doctor that will allow me to try for a VBAC! Once we were done I was about in tears. For one I was hurting and two, it kinda hit I am going to have a baby. It also hit me that Greg isn't here. I have a great support system here and so lucky to have such sweet friends that are going to help and be here for me. I guess bottom line is i'm scared!

So now it's just the waiting game. Whenever Owen decides to come!

Rearranging & Adding Color

I was worried last night thinking about things we can do this week to keep busy. I knew it was going to be super hot, so I had no idea what we were going to do.

Last night Landon was up. He could not sleep. Finally I made him come crawl in bed with me, and both of  us laid awake in the bed tossing and turning from about 3-5am. I finally forced myself to get up about 730.  I did my morning walk of opening all the blinds, making sure the cat has food and water, stopping at the bathroom and taking my thyroid pill. I sat on the couch for a min and opened the lap top, and Landon stumbled out to the living room too. He was happy he got to sleep with me, I made sure to tell him that is not happening every night! haha. After our morning snuggles on the couch I got breakfast made, cleaned the dishes from last night and my work called.

I had to go in to find out what I need to do to turn in my Leave Without Pay status and all that. A minute later Remax called for a showing at 1030. It was 9am. SO I finished getting the beds made and everything taken care of and hopped in the shower. We headed to base to take care of my business and then stopped at Target for some toilet paper, soda's and Father's Day cards. We got home had some lunch and then both went to the couch to relax. I started thinking about what we were going to do the rest of the afternoon. It was only noon. I fell asleep for a few minutes, Landon watched a cartoon and laid on the couch next to me. Next thing I know my phone was ringing. It was the Realtor's assistant. She called to tell me that they got feedback from the showing and the lady didn't like the living room because there were no windows. There is nothing we can do there. She suggested we move furniture around and add some color.

SO, now Landon and I had something to do. We headed over to Hobby Lobby to find some stuff for the living room. She said add some flowers, I looked from some fake flowers and arrangements, man they are pricey. I bought one ceramic piece then we headed out. I got in the car and it said 108 for the temp. It sure was hot. Landon's been begging for a Sno-Cone so we went to all the stands I knew of in the area and not one of them were open. It was like 200. SO frustrating. We then went to Kirklands in the mall to see what they had and I found some cute canisters for the mantle! Score!

Then we came home and started moving things around. Here is what we came up with. I still need some more color, I have red pillows in storage I need to get out, and I think I may just grab some fresh flowers from the store tomorrow.

This is the before of our fireplace. We had more things on it before, and a picture next to it but took it all down to declutter.....

Here is the after. I took the large red plate from my kitchen hutch and the three bird canisters I got from Kirklands.

They suggested to put the small chair over there. So I did and tossed a red blanket on it.

I then pushed the big couch down the wall, and made the love seat flush with the wall and put the lamp in the corner....I added a blanket to the loveseat. Still need more color, but we are getting there...

Another angle. I think it looks ok. Makes it look A LOT bigger.

I added some candles to the front entryway table, and will get some fresh flowers...

And figure what else I need to do.

I just hope by changing all of this that we get some more showings and people looking. In the past it seems whenever we did something different or took things out of the house we did't have anyone come for a while! I am going to keep my hopes up, fingers and toes crossed that we continue to have some traffic.

The rest of the afternoon I finished cleaning and then made some dinner and cleaned some more. I also forgot to mention we finally found a Sno-Cone stand that was open and enjoyed ourselves a nice treat. It was delicious and hit the spot.

Now we are watching The Bachelorette and relaxing. Tomorrow morning I have my ultrasound at 10, and as soon as that's done we go over to the doctors to go over the results and get checked. I am hoping for some changes, but we shall see.

Hopefully something will happen with this house and soon. We are running out of time, and it's STRESSING me out.

Busy Weekend

We had a nice and busy weekend. I can't believe it's already over. We were so lucky to have Greg come home Friday night. Landon was SO excited to see daddy when he pulled up. As soon as he got here he didn't stop talking, it was constant, "Daddy!" "Daddy." It was pretty funny. They of course wrestled and had a good ol' time. I was also happy to have Greg home, to have the company and help. I miss him.

Saturday morning Landon crawled in bed with us, wanting me to move. You know how hard it is to move nowa days. He was insistent on being right on me. Then he kept asking to get up, kicking me, twisting and turning. Ugh! Greg got up with Landon and I slowly followed them to the living room. I had officially woke up on the wrong side of the bed!

I cleaned a little, ate some breakfast, and then crawled back in to bed for about 30, I thought maybe that would have helped. Nope. So then I showered, Greg and Landon got ready and we headed our separate ways. I went to the commissary and Greg and Landon went to the movies. I needed that alone time. I had a little bit of time before the boys got home and I was busy in the kitchen. I made Pioneer Woman's Salsa, and then Oreo Fluff pudding that I got on Pinterest. By the time the boys got home I was feeling better.

We didn't do too much, it was a hot weekend. We went to dinner to Texas Roadhouse on Saturday night then stopped at Hastings for a movie. It was a pretty nice night, I like those simple nights.

Today we got up and got busy. I cleaned the inside of the house top to bottom and Greg worked his butt off outside for our open house. Landon played, watched cartoons, and played on the iPad.

I guess it's good I am pregnant while our house is on the market, it makes me tired to be cleaning all the time and it gives me something to do, but I am also in nesting mode so everything gets cleaned. Things I think people don't even look at or pay attention to get cleaned! haha.

I went through and changed out all my Scentsy pots with fresh wax so our house smelled like Summer!

I kinda started from the front of the house and worked back. I of course had to take breaks in between.

I think the house is looking good. I just wish someone would fall in love with it....

Greg cleaned the patio pretty good, and we moved the swing set to the middle of the yard. It kinda opened the yard a little. We would have never thought to move it but last weekend when Anthony and Upchurch mowed the yards they moved it over. I liked where it was after they moved it. Greg and I were talking and decided to move it a little more. I think it's great.

Our flowers are doing great, our honeysuckle in the back corner and our pear tree.....just wish we had some grass instead of dead weeds and pokey things...

The open house went well. We talked with the Realtor before hand and she was really nice and it was good to talk to her. (It was actually the realtor's assistant or whatever you call it) While we had the open house we went to Sam's then grabbed a frosty from Wendy's and then went to the Fire Station so Greg could get some things taken care of. We got back and the Realtor was still here. We had three people show, two families, one just started looking, and the other has a house and is just looking as well. The creepy neighbor guy came. She was telling us about him and how he walked in like he'd never been there before. I could have sworn our Realtor told us (the actual Realtor) that he'd come one of the other times. Any who. He's always given me the creeps, but she said he walked in talking and what not, pretty friendly and he asked where the master was at, and some other weird things. I told her he creeped me out and that he watches everyone and he's just weird. She said he asked how much we paid in taxes and yadda yadda. WEIRD!

Greg made dinner before he left, we ate then he had to hit the road. It was sad to see him go again. But only a few days and he'll be back. I've just gotta keep Landon and I busy this week. It's going to be hard to get out since it's going to be so hot. It's hard for me, as soon as I get out there and do anything my poor feet just swell! Hope you had a good weekend!

Here is a picture of the Oreo pudding thing I made from Pinterest. It was white chocolate pudding, milk, cool whip, marshmallows and crushed Oreo's. SO delicious and easy peasy!

Sleep: Sleep? Last night I slept good, but all the other nights have been horrible. I've been woke up by thunder storms and then lay awake at night for like an hour or two. By the time it's time to get up I am SO tired and hurting.

What I miss most: Sleep, sleeping on my belly, eating a sandwich, having a few more options of clothing to wear.

Cravings: None still.

Symptoms: shooting pains, pulling, waddling, hip pains, tiredness, moodiness, you name it, I've got it! haha.

Best moment: Hearing Owen's heart, hearing I am dilated to a 2 and making some progress.

What I'm looking forward to most: Seeing Owen for the first time. Having Landon meet his baby brother and seeing them together.

We were supposed to be taking Landon to the Sibling's class at the hospital tomorrow. I looked online a few months back, it had a day, time and where to go. For more info you called a number. It said nothing about registering or anything. My friend from work who was due a few days before me had her baby yesterday and Landon and I went to go visit her. Landon was excited and very curious about the hospital. I figured when we got home to call to make sure the class was still on. So, come to find out it's booked and has been for a while, and the next one is on the 23rd. I guess you are supposed to call and register or sign up. It didn't say that anywhere on the class schedule. Or what I saw, I would have most definitely called so we could go! I was about in tears. I've been telling Landon about it allllll week and when we were at the hospital. I saw on the website that you could call and take a tour of L&D, so I called and she told us to hurry over and she would show us around. So Landon and I got to take a quick tour of the area, she showed us the room and stuff and told me where to go and what not when I go in to labor. I was interested since I've never given birth there before. Landon was very quiet the whole time and just seemed to take it in. Once we were done he asked a few questions about getting the baby out, and stuff. He keeps telling me he doesn't want to see the baby come out. But he will come once Owen is out of my belly....

I'm not putting a picture on here today, I took one, but really don't feel like putting it up. I don't want to hear how big my belly is and all those comments. I'm kinda in that hit or miss stage, I don't mind people asking, but sometimes it really irks me. Guess that's the pregnancy hormones going.

Doctor's Appointment

This morning was my 37 (almost 38 week) doctors appointment. They were busy busy, and I had Landon with me, good thing the iPad was nice and charged. He was such a good boy, I was so proud of him.

Anywho, I gained a pound. I figured I would have. My BP was great and my heart rate was great. Owen's heart rate was 160 and sounded super strong today. Landon giggled when the nurse was listening to it. The doctor came in and I told Landon to go sit in the tiny little dressing room. He thought that was so cool. He sat in there while the doctor checked me and I could hear him playing his games and giggling and talking.

My belly was measuring about 35weeks, he felt around and said he is still head down. He also checked to see if I was dilated at all. I was 2cm, 40% effaced and a +1 station. Now see with Landon I didn't efface to 100%, because his head wasn't dropping down. I think the furthest I got was 70. My doctor said he thinks I'll make it to my due date. He will be back in town on the 22, so if I go in to labor that night to call him. He has another girl due on the 22 and she was at a 4cm and 80% effaced, he stripped her membranes and they hope she'll go into labor. She is also having a VBAC. He said he wished I was dilated like her so we could get things going. It made me jealous to hear that.

Like I was telling Greg, I really wanted to have this baby on my due date or as close to it as possible, that way Greg will be almost done with school. Then I heard my doctor was going to be on vacation. I gave myself some pep talks and convinced myself it would be ok if I had the baby before my doctor leaves because I really want to have this VBAC and with my doctor. So then to hear he thinks I'm going to make it til he gets back kinda bummed me out. My emotions are everywhere to begin with. I really don't think I know what I want. But, who knows when Owen is going to come, he will come when he is ready and feels like it. Could be in a few days, a week or even two. I'm just going to have to suck it up an deal with being uncomfortable!

He also said he knows the doctors that are on call when he is gone and both have done VBAC's. He just needs to see if they will commit. I guess when you have a VBAC your doctor has to be in the hospital the entire time you are in labor. He said it's a pain, and he just needs to see if they will commit. He doesn't think they would mind during the week, it would be if it was on a weekend or something.

So, I have an ultrasound on Tuesday morning to see how big Owen is and then go to the doctors after that. I'm excited to see the little guy, it's been a while. With Landon I had ultrasounds all the time, I've only have two with Owen, at 8weeks and 20weeks. I hope all my ramblings made sense. I'm kinda glad I am blogging all this, my brain is foggy with when I had Landon, and I know as the years go on it will get worse, I'm glad I have it all written down here.

After my appointment I wasn't ready to go home. Landon wanted to go eat, I just wanted a soda. I was talking to Greg on the phone and just driving. Next thing I know we were at Jason's Deli. Haha! Landon was so happy. He said, "Oh it's like we are going on a date mommmy!" I had a nice salad and Landon had his pizza. He was so talkative, asking a million questions and colored on his little paper. I asked him where he wanted to go next. He said Walmart. Ugh. I recommended the play place in the mall, and he of course wanted to go. So we went to the mall and I let him play for a while. I had a few quarters for the rides, but he opted for a purple gumball. We walked around and stopped at the book store, he picked out a Pokemon comic book, then we headed home.

It's gloomy out today and I am loving it. Landon has been playing and watching Scooby Doo, I've enjoyed a short couch nap and relaxing. I slept terrible last night. We had a storm and that woke both of us up, then I woke up with the worst stomach ache ever, and couldn't fall back to sleep. It lasted for a long time, about an hour, I almost started to think I was in labor. It subsided, and in the mean time I had a million things running through my head. I was almost in tears too because I realized at that moment I am not quite ready to have Owen. At least wait til this weekend when Greg is home!!

Maternity Leave

Friday was my last day of work. I am now officially on maternity leave, and it feels so nice. It's crazy to think I am not going back to work there, because when I would be able to go back we will be moving our happy butts to Colorado!

I haven't blogged much, to be honest, not much is going on. This is the first time I've opened the laptop since Friday when our carpets were getting shampooed! I've just been hopping on the iPad every now and then and checking Facebook and stuff on my phone.

Saturday was pretty quiet. Just being Landon and I, not much going on. We went to the Commissary in the morning, then that afternoon Meagan's husband and another guy came to mow our yard. It was so sweet of them, and nice to have Meagan over to chit chat. That night I was out watering the grass, Landon didn't want to go out. Three of the houses that sold on our street had people moving in, and one guy walked over to talk to me. He told me he called the Realtor to schedule a showing for Sunday at 2. Then he asked if he could come in and look. I'd seen the guy all day, and said sure why not. He was really nice, and seemed pretty interested. He was measuring the living room and everything! haha. Then afterwards I was like, "What did I just do? I let some man come look at our house! OMG OMG!" Our Realtor called Greg because the guy called her and told her he already looked at it. She knows him pretty well and said she's sold him several homes over the years. Thank God I heard, that, calmed me down a bit!

Sunday we didn't do much. We went to Walmart in the morning then hung out. Landon went over to play at Mrs. Donae's house, and we were meeting them at Meagan's for a BBQ. So after I dropped off Landon I came home to clean since we were having another showing, then went and walked the mall for a minute before meeting up with everyone. We had a great time over at Meagan and Anthony's. It was nice to get out of the house and have some adult conversation!

We've had a showing every day since Saturday, and have had great feedback. One family our house is in their top 3, and they haven't decided which house they want yet. Another couple our house was their back up if their other one fell through. Well, it fell through! I got so excited. Then we found out this morning that the declined because of our shower, They need a separate walk in shower. We told them we could give them a buyers allowance and can do something, they've already found another house and made an offer, but if that falls through they'll think about it. Turns out the husband loved our house and wanted it....fudge. I haven't heard anything about the showing today, and we have an open house scheduled for Sunday.

Tomorrow I have my 37 week doctors appointment. I am anxious to see if I am dilated at all or made any progress. I've been tired and hurting the past few days and am totally happy I am not working. I feel so bad for Landon because I am so tired, and I just want to sit with my feet up. He's been so good, but I know he is getting bored. We are going out and doing things, but I guess it's not enough. He needs some kids to play with or something. He is begging to go swimming, but there is NO way I am getting in a suit and going to the pool! haha.

I attempted to take Landon to the zoo park tonight and it was an epic fail. When we got there it was dead, of course it was, it was 6pm and 90+ outside. As soon as we got out of the car he wanted to run to the water. It told him we were here for the park. He started crying and hid behind a tree. So I waddled my big butt down to the bug infested water, where he wanted to touch the water, get close, throw in trash, run along the bank, chase the ducks. OMG. I am too pregnant for that! We lasted a few minutes, then I begged him to go, I was hot and having some braxton hicks. We walked back to the car and he whined about wanting to go to the pool. I just can't win. We came home and he pouted on the couch for a while.

Hopefully I'll have some good news tomorrow. Either about my Doctor's appointment or something with this dang house that is causing me SO MUCH STRESS!

37 Weeks

37 Week Pregnancy Highlights

How far along: 37 weeks, only 21 days to go.

Size of baby: About 6 1/3 lbs, the length of a Swiss stalk of chard (whatever that is!)

Gender: It's a boy

Belly Button: very soft, and partially sticking out.

Total weight gain: 31 pounds (I may have gained 10 lbs today!)
Maternity Clothes: Yes, that's about all I can wear

Sleep: Still sleeping good at night, having a hard time turning from one side to the other, the weight in my belly makes it hard, and then the baby has to re-position too. Ugh!

What I miss most: Being able to do things on my own, bending over and not being so dang clumsy.

Cravings: Nothing.

Symptoms: hip pains, pains all around, swollen feet and hands, occasional swelling of my ankles.

Best Moment: Hearing Owen's heart and having Landon there with me to hear it. Also I was changing last night in my closet and Landon walked in to find me and said, "Ohh mommy, I like your stripes on your belly!" Also finishing work today, I can't believe it was my last day!

What I'm looking forward to most: Meeting this little guy, having a baby in the house again, seeing Landon with the baby. And to feel semi normal again. I hate feeling like a moose.

I wish I had my pictures from when I was pregnant with Landon so I could compare the belly. But, they are all saved on the home computer and it's packed away!
