Guess Who?

Guess who had a busy weekend? This family did. It was nice though.

Guess who tried carrots for the first time yesterday?

This guy:

He wasn't quite sure what to think. He'd shudder his shoulders whenever I gave him a bite....

And made some funny faces.

He didn't eat much, but we will keep trying!

Guess who went Christmas shopping at the BX this morning?

We did! I got my Martha Stewart stainless steel pans and a bakeware set. Only spent $80 for both...

Guess who got their Christmas cards in the mail already

I DID! (Now let's just see how long it takes me to address them and get them in the mail.)

Guess who FINALLY got his first tooth yesterday?

This guy:

We've thought several times we felt the tip of his tooth and that it was in. Then the next day we felt nothing. I can't tell you how many times. BUT, this time it's there, and he's been a much happier baby!

Guess who is now rolling all over the living room?

This guy:

He is constantly wanting to roll. We can't put him anywhere with out him trying to roll over.

Guess who's been playing at the park for hours a day with his friends?

This guy:

He's been such a big boy and such a great big brother. Owen LOVES Landon now, even more. It's so cute. Landon had a good week off but he said he is excited to go see his teacher and friends tomorrow. He also refuses to let me take a picture of him. Stinker. I still love him!

Guess who's going to bed now?

Yep, ME!!!

Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! (a day late of course)

Landon has been off of school this whole week. We haven't done much. Enjoyed staying in our PJ's in the morning and going to the parks to play in the afternoon. The weather has been pleasant which is nice.

Greg came down with strep on Wednesday. So he's been sick. Good thing, he is finally feeling better.

Thanksgiving we got up and I started making food. I made a green bean casserole, candied yams and a ham. We headed over to the Patty's house at 1 to eat and hang out. The food was great. We got home around 4 and hung out. Landon was at the park with his buddies. I headed out for some black Friday shopping with Cinnamon and her mom.

Owen's first Thanksgiving. I feel bad I didn't get Landon anything 'special' to wear. Honestly he could have cared less!

I was excited to go shopping this year. Last year was no good. We didn't go out when the store first opened, and so by the time we went to Home Depot and got what we wanted and headed in to town most of the stuff was gone, and there were NO crowds. I am weird, I LOVE the crowds and all the crazy people. I think it's so fun.

We got to Walmart at 7pm. I was going for a trampoline for Landon for Christmas. They were right up front shrink wrapped. Couldn't get them til 8pm though. There were six, and 5 people there. Several people were eyeing them. I was getting worried. 8pm came and we all grabbed these 150lb trampolines! I got it though. I also got a $9 crockpot.

Then we were off to Target. The line was long, but it was fun waiting. Everyone was joking and having a good time. It was getting cold too. Any who, the doors opened and I helped my friend get what she wanted and grabbed the things I was looking for. Everything went smooth and we were out about 940pm. Next stop was Old Navy. We didn't realize they opened at 12. So we went to Kohl's instead. We got in line at 1015. They opened at 12. I WAS SO STINKIN' COLD it wasn't even funny. I think the ice was chipping off my hips when I finally started walking! hahahaha! I got Owen and few toys and me a pair of furry boots. I finally got home about 115am. It was a fun night and I am glad that I went.

Today we got up and started the turkey we bought. Then the boys got the tree set up.

We ate our turkey for lunch and it was so delicious. Oh my. Greg went and got his early Christmas presents from Dick's, a mountain bike. We then headed out to Walgreens and then dinner.

Then we started decorating the tree......

Landon wanted to put the tree topper on, but it was pretty high up.

They climbed on a chair and it made me SO nervous.....

They did it!

It's been a busy few days, and my boys are tired.

Birthday Par-tay

Yesterday we had Landon's birthday party here at the house. You know I love to plan parties and throw them!

We are used to having a TON of people over. I usually get a bounce house and make wayy too much food, buy way too many favors to hand out, but the party always turns out to be great.

This year was the same. Well, we didn't have nearly the crowd we usually have. But it was a good size. It made Greg and I realize how much we miss our house. We had so much space in the kitchen and living room. It was a little cramped here.

Anyways, the Angry Bird Birthday party!

I love how the cake turned out. It was delicious too.

I usually fill all my jars with candy, have tons of sweets like cookies and chocolate dipped pretzels. Not this year.....I was kinda worried.....We did have uni brow's and mustaches!

We had 9 kids and 9 adults....

Sabrina came from Denver to celebrate. It was her fist kids birthday party. I am sure she had nightmares last night, and I hope we didn't scare her away! She was such a help in the kitchen and with Owen. Thanks Sabrina!

We had a game where you had to find an 'egg' and you got a prize. There were six of them. Inside and out.....

We then had the pinata.....LOADED with candy. Yes I put every single piece in there myself.

We had lots of food. Not nearly as much as I usually make. I made popper dip, popcorn, veggies and rand, pizza bread, mac  n cheese, fruit and fruit dip, strawberry punch and cake and ice cream.

The Gardner's drove from Kansas to help celebrate. A birthday party wouldn't be the same with them not here!

There was LOTS of boys there. We aren't used to that many boys, and that many older boys. It sure did get rowdy.

We sang Happy Birthday and dove in to that DELICIOUS cake.

Then opened presents.

Everyone hung out for a while after the party. I was exhausted by 8pm. We we were all again passed out on the couches. It was a great 6th birthday for Landon, he had the best time and that's all that matters.
