Pre-Halloween

Did you have a good pre-Halloween weekend? Ours was busy. Yesterday morning I had an appointment for a hair cut and color. I went dark last time, and I didn't mind it, but I wanted some blonde back, and blonde it is!

We also went to watch Puss n Boots after my appointment. CUTE movie! We went to Walmart then came home to rest and then headed to Greg's squadron's kids trick or treat event.

Me and Scooby. (My hair is BLONDE)

Landon was excited to go 'Trick or Treat' and Greg's thing. There was a few offices that put up some decorations and handed out candy...

Then Landon ran in to his friend who goes to his before and after care, and is in Pre-K. SO funny that they were both Scooby Doo. Funny thing is, Landon's is from last year and is way too small!

That was a cake, pretty impressive. Landon got some vampire teeth and he totally loves them!

We checked out the big fire, it was cool out last night so it was nice to stand by it.

Then he played and ran around a little more then we headed home. Landon had a blast, of course!

Today we had to go get a pumpkin. The one we bought a while back was rotten.

Then the boys carved it.

I made tortilla soup in the crock pot and realized Landon's party is TWO weeks away. I gotta get going on all my projects. The bouncy castle is now booked, and I knocked out his cool comic book banner.

It took me a while to get the right triangle shape. I went to Walmart and bought and exacto knife and some red bias tape. Once I got it figured out, I knocked that sucker out. Instead of sewing it, I just used my handy dandy hot glue gun. Landon didn't like the fact that I was cutting up a comic book, but when I was done and showed him he liked it. Next thing I have to get done are the wands. I FINALLY got some glue, I didn't have any, so now I can get those knocked out. I also gotta figure out how to make masks, or where to get some cheap??

Are you ready for Halloween tomorrow? Tomorrow is my last day of afternoon shift, WHEW, so when I get home we will have some pizza and do our trick or treating. We are going with our friends whom we go with every year, should be a good time!!!

We got orders!

So last night about 7pm I was finishing the dishes, Landon was playing and Greg just sat down to watch the Rangers game. All of a sudden Greg said, "Uhh Priscilla?" It was a worried or concerned uhhhh. I came around the corner and he had his phone and was showing me something. He's gotten an email that said,

"Congratulations, you've received orders."

Whattttttt? Both of us were shocked. This was something we were not expecting. We were told that we could find out earliest, January. It was 7 at night and Greg and I couldn't wait till morning so he headed to base to log on and find out where we got orders too. I was SO nervous, as was Greg. Once he finally arrived to base and got to his desk he called and put me on speaker as he logged on. Then I heard,

"Peterson AFB in Colorado, WE'RE GOING TO COLORADO BABY!"

What? My stomach went crazy. I was happy! I can't believe we got orders to Colorado. Peterson was his #2 on his dreamsheet. Then I started thinking about family and leaving, selling our house. I was so excited, but then everything else sank in. My first thought was, 'My mom is going to be so sad.' Then I thought about Greg's family and leaving all of them, then thought about having to sell our house, and all the stuff that comes along with a PCS.

Good thing is, we still have lots of time. We have to report no later than 28Aug2012. That gives us about 10 months. We are going to take the next two months to get the house ready and then put it on the market in January.

So once Greg got home we quickly got on the computer and started researching everything. My first thing was to look at plane tickets. Good thing! To fly from Denver to California, a little over $200. YAY! And a little more to fly to DFW! That is great!

So, if you have any info on Peterson or Colorado Springs, please let us know!!! :)

The Boy's

Landon has been enjoying going out back and playing lately. Probably because it's finally feeling a tad bit like Fall, and because the ground doesn't have craters anymore since it rained a few weeks ago. Greg raised his swings so he isn't scraping his knees on the ground, and he has perfected swinging by himself.

This morning they went out to play. I am not sure what they were playing, but Greg was laying on the slide and Landon was kinda running around then climbing on everything...

Once we finally convinced Landon to come in, we had to go get groceries and run a few errands, he decided he wanted to color. He is really in to coloring these days and drawing, writing letters.

I Love that he puckers his lips out, I love that he uses lots of different colors...

I love how he concentrates...

I love watching him color, concentrate and then take a sip of French Vanilla Hot Chocolate...

Then go straight back to coloring with out even looking up or acknowledging I am there. I sure do love my little boy. I can't believe he is going to be 5 in  a few weeks.....

Fall Fest & Invites

We had a busy Saturday today! We went and had lunch then ran a few errands. We stopped at the party store to check out what stuff they have, then went to Hasting's, then over to Hobby Lobby to get some more stuff for Landon's birthday. When we got home Landon's invites were here! Yay! I was so excited.

We went for a walk around the neighborhood and went walking through the big field behind our house. Greg rented Green Lantern and I fell asleep on the couch, within a few minutes Landon' climbed on me and fell alseep too. We had dinner then headed over to Landon's Fall Fest. It was held at the High School and there were all different booths, bounce houses, cake walks, silent auctions, food and fun. I had heard it wasn't that great, but we signed up to work at the Pre-K booth so we went early for Landon to play. When we showed up I was surprised! Nothing what I imagined, Landon was excited to be there, we ran in to his teacher right away and then he played.

Ok this big tiger stairs and slide was GIGANTIC! It made me nervous looking at it. I guess Landon went down it when I was working at the booth. IT WAS HUGE!

We signed up to work the Pre-k booth, Greg worked from 630-7 and then took Landon to go play, I worked from 630-735. It was fun working it, it was HOT hot in the building, and we were right next to the loud speaker. Other than that, it was fun. We had the Plinko game.

Each class had little wanted posters and I got a picture of Landon's. Mrs Mayes is on the left and Mrs. Smith on the right. (Mrs. Smith is the aide)

All in all it was nice to go and see some of Landon's friends and to see the kids in their Halloween costumes.

Here are the invites I ordered. I thought they were going to be paper, but they are on picture paper. Kinda cool....

So now we are relaxing at home and watching the Ranger's play. These games are making me NERVOUS!

I'm looking forward to a nice relaxing day tomorrow. Just a trip to the Commissary and that's it. Gotta start working on Landon's birthday stuff!

LET'S GO RANGERS!

Family Portrait

Landon's class is talking about families this week and doing lots of different activities with families. One day he had to draw a picture of his family.

This is our Teague Family Portrait

From left to right: Me, Martin (The tiny little one by my leg), Greg, Ava and Landon! Isn't it cute? I thought it was so sweet he added Martin and Ava on there. He was very excited to show us when he got home. So if any of you out there need a hand sketched family portrait just let me know and I'll have Landon whip one up for ya!

I am so glad it's Friday. These past few weeks have been LONG and tiring. Yesterday I had to be at work at 9 and I got off at 535. We then had a staff meeting from 6-8. I had time to drive to the place, eat a sandwich then get to the meeting. Tuesday was a little of the same. I worked from 10-515, then rushed over to the Expo center for the big Breast Cancer Bunco event, got there at 555 when it started at 6, then got home about 915. I've been having some long days. Even though I am going in to work a little later I am still getting up at 6am to get ready for the day, to get Landon up and ready for the day, get his stuff ready for school then taking him to school. Speaking of school, I'm a little sad today.

I've been dropping Landon off at school all month since I've been working later. They have a drop off point where someone opens the door when you drive up and get the kids out and they can walk to the cafeteria. You can also park and walk them to the cafeteria. I don't like the drop off thing, I enjoy walking him. Today we parked and were walking and Landon said, "Mommy, can you please just let me walk by myself to the cafeteria?" Awe, made me sad. So I stood back and let him walk 'alone' and just stood there. Landon turned around and he said, "You can still look at me in the window." So I gave him a kiss and went to the window. He walked in, set his backpack down and then waved to me through the window. He had a huge smile on his face and was proud. I guess it's time for me to let go and let him walk in by himself. So sad, he isn't even 5 yet! :)

So other things around here, I got all my Scentsy Stuff in from my party last week. I LOVE my new stuff I got.

I got the Charlamange full size warmer for my entry way and the plug in for our guest bathroom. I LOVE them. They are so cute. Right now I have Sticky Cinnamon Bun burning in them, smells like Christmas.

It's time to do a few chores before I leave for work. I go in at 1030 so I have some extra time this morning! Happy Friday y'all!

Party Time

First off way to go Rangers for making it to the World Series! That's two years in a row they are going, let's hope they can pull it off and win this year!!!

Today was Landon's friend Leah's 5th birthday party. It was at Chuck E Cheese. He's known Leah for a while, they were in the two year old class together at the CDC, and then when they turned three, Leah a month before Landon, they went to separate classes. They would still play together and get excited whenever they would see each other. They are going to Pre-K together, are in different classes, but play together on the play ground. It also seems where ever we go, we seem them! It's pretty funny actually.

Landon of course enjoyed all the singing and dancing. His favorite thing.

Leah the birthday girl!

Leah got to pick someone to go in the ticket blaster with her, she chose Landon. It was SO funny, I was laughing so hard. I tried to post it on Facebook, so you can watch it there..

The first time they both came out with like 5 tickets! One was in Landon's glasses, hilarious!

I'm going to go and try to enjoy my evening. Not looking forward to the week. We of course have some things going on, but at least Greg will be off work at his normal time. Tuesday night I am playing Bunco for Breast Cancer with a bunch of ladies from work, I am looking forward to that. Saturday is Landon's Fall Fest with his school, not looking forward to that. I got talked in to being Landon's class's "Room Parent" and so we have to go and set stuff up and work at the booth. I don't mind working at the booth, but not one person in Landon's class signed up for our class time to work. Looks like it's going to be Greg and I working. Saturday is also the Boo at the Zoo, dress up in your Halloween costumes and go trick or treat at the Zoo. I guess we shall see how it's all going to pan out. I'll try my best to take more pictures and blog this week. Let's hope it's stress free!!!
