Not too much longer

Things are sinking in. We don't have too much longer. We don't have too much longer til Greg leaves for his Tech School/Cross training. We don't have too much longer until Landon is done with school. We don't have too much longer until I go on maternity leave. We don't have too much longer til Owen makes his debut. And we don't have too much longer left in Abilene. It's crazy!

Landon only has 19 school days left. That's crazy! I can't believe he is going to be a Kindergartner. He keeps asking me how many days left. I try to explain, a month and you will be done. I guess we can start counting down the days. INSANE!

I only have about 30 work days left until I start my maternity leave! I have so much sick leave and leave that I want to start early to use it. When we PCS and I go on leave without pay status, I'll loose it all. (My sick leave that is. I might as well try to use most of it)

We only have 47 days til Mr. Owen is expected to arrive. That kinda hit me today. I went to my friend's baby shower yesterday afternoon and we were talking. She is ready. She has everything she needs, the nursery is set up and ready to go. She's just waiting for the baby. I started to think about what we have and what not. I feel pretty bad actually. By this time with Landon I was the same way. I decided to go through the things we have to see what we actually do have. We have some stuff from Landon, but not what I was thinking we had. Uh oh! We've got some clothes, blankets, hats, some socks, burp cloths and some bibs. We have no bathing stuff, no feeding things, no coming home outfit, no nursery ready. I feel terrible....

After going through some of the baby stuff I had an extra tote so I packed up some stuff from our spare bedroom closet. It was mainly our yearbooks, photo albums from highschool and stuff like that.

Then I went to Landon's closet and packed away his baby stuff, like the photo albums, books and stuff like that with some clothes and stuff Owen may be able to use in a few years. I now have another pile of things to give away......We don't have too much longer, so I have to do what I can I suppose.

Landon's been a great helper and right by my side. He of course is asking a million questions about it all.

I'm hoping this week we have some showings. I'm hoping we get some kind of good news. After having another open house with NO lookers, it's hard to keep your head up and to think positive. We are almost to the point of giving up. Keeping a spotless house and hearing nothing but wonderful things from EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON. that comes to our house, we just don't know what to do any more.

We just don't have too much longer.....

32 weeks

32 Week Pregnancy Highlights

How far along: 32 weeks and a day. (54 days to go!)

Size of the baby: 3.75lbs, about the size of a large jicama! 16.7 inches long.

Total weight gain: still haven't stepped on that evil scale. But I feel huge, so I am SURE I've gained more weight.

Maternity Clothes: YES! Having a hard time finding some that aren't too expensive and that fit.

Sleep: YES please. I could sleep anywhere and anytime right now. Still very sleepy. The past few nights i've been tossing and turning again and I FINALLY got my first leg cramp at night, OUCH!

What I miss most: A sandwich. Having energy, not feeling like a house!

Cravings: None, but pickles are sounding and tasting good whenever I eat them!

Symptoms: Kinda emotional, could just be everything going on. Leg cramps at night, feeling full ALL the time.

Best moment: Feeling this big boy move and kick!

What I'm looking forward to most: My shower with my friends from the Fire Station next weekend!

My belly shot for the week is from a baby shower I went to tonight. There are three of us pregnant at work, we are all due the same week. We are all 32 weeks along. Misti is on the left, Suheidi is in the middle and then there is me. Like I told the girls when we looked at the picture, it goes, small, medium large! hahaa

It was kinda funny taking this picture, our belly's were bumping each other in the backs. haha!!

This was a LONG week. We have been so busy these past few days. We went to Rockin' in the park last night, we had a great time, I forgot my camera though. Today we got up cleaned the house, headed to the air show and killed time during our open house. I forgot my camera AGAIN for the air show, I got sunburned on my chest and arms, I almost blacked out I got so HOT, and we didn't have a single person come to our open house! SO you can see how our days have been!

HOT

I think Texas is a little confused. It's still April, it's only spring time, but today it was 104 out! It was just plain hot today. A lot of people were posting of Facebook pictures of their car thermostats, most of them read 109. Oh my, I am NOT ready for this. Tomorrow is supposed to be 102, and then it will slowly cool off for the weekend. Colorado is sounding better and better every day!

So Greg was on the phone with the Realtor today. We've been having showings again like I said. She gave us some feedback. Both people LOVED the house. One lady, who is a cop, loved the house. She loved the kitchen and bathrooms. The only thing is that she didn't want to be next to the neighborhood that is to the left of us, she responds to a lot of calls over there. UGH! (I had no idea about that) The other family loved the house, they loved everything about it except our yard was just too small. They were looking for a bigger yard, they have a big family. Ugh! SO close again. Everyone that has come through LOVES our house. Our relator says we are having so many showings it's got to sell soon. We also let her know about us paying $3,000 in closing costs, washer and dryer included as well as the fridge. She said that was good, maybe that will entice some buyers, especially the closing cost part. I figured that was already told to the lookers, but I guess not. She also said one of the Realtor's said maybe we should take down some photos. Now our house is pretty bare, but I took down a lot more of our pictures. I took down some in Landon's room, near the entrance, and on the mantel.....

So I got the pictures packed away. My poor house is so naked now!

While I was busy Landon and Greg went out front to water the yard. Landon played on his scooter...

This was probably at 8pm. It was still over 90. Right now it's 930 and it's 90. Ew! Anywho, Landon played outside while Greg watered the grass. It is slowly looking better. It's been about 6 days since he planted the seeds for grass. We are hoping to see some sprouts of grass soon.....

I sure hope something starts to happen soon. Fill in all the dirt spots from the terrible drought last summer.

So now our open house is scheduled for Saturday, which is good. We will be at the air show. I am hoping we get some kind of traffic an offer would be amazing.

Party time

Saturday we had a busy and fun day. Landon was invited to a birthday party at McDonald's. We've never been to a party there, and when we asked Landon if he wanted to go, of course he did!

We also had a small BBQ planned for later in the afternoon. Greg invited some of the guys from his office over to hang out and eat.

He was excited to see his friends there. It was Phillip's birthday, and of course when the ladies showed up, Landon was excited. Especially his little friend Ameile. She is next to him in the picture.

She is cute, and she's Italian! haha!

Like I said, it was Phillip's birthday, he is all the way on the right. Landon had a great time, They played, ate, played watched Phillip open gifts then had some cake and played some more. After the party we headed home and got things ready for our BBQ. I made some fruit dip and a fruit tray, jalapeno popper dip, pasta salad and a peach cobbler. Greg grilled some burgers and hot dogs. It was nice to have some friends over to just hang out. Landon met some new friends and enjoyed playing with them.

I can't remember if I blogged this before but we've been having some showings again, which has been nice. A few people were very interested. One couple couldn't decide between our house and the neighbors, they of course made an offer on the other house and now it's under contract. UGH! To be so close so many times. We are in need of some luck, some good luck. It's our turn, we need to get this house moving. We have SO much stuff on our plate right now, if this house could sell a HUGE weight would be lifted off of our shoulders, and I may be able to enjoy my last few weeks of this pregnancy!

This coming weekend is going to be pretty busy as well. Friday night the base is having a Rockin' in the Park. It's  a big BBQ on base, with bands, free food, drinks, bouncy castles, and things of that sort. It's always fun to go to these things, to hang out and enjoy friends. Then Saturday is the base Air Show. So we want to go check out the planes and walk around. I also have a baby shower to go to at 4pm after the Air Show for a friend from work. (she is due 3 days before me) Sunday we are planning on having and open house, so will have to clean clean clean and then kill some time during the showing. Then a few days later Greg takes off for school. Busy Busy Busy Busy! I think the next 3-4 weekends we have things going on. I like to be busy though, so I am happy!!

31 Weeks

31 Week Pregnancy Highlights (very late, sorry)

First off, I've had a blogging funk lately. Hopefully I can get back on track this week!

How far along: 31 weeks 2 days, 63 days to go

Size of baby: 3.3 pounds, 16 inches long about the size of 4 naval oranges

Gender: It's a boy, Owen Gregor

Total weight gain: Sore subject, but haven't weighed myself since my Dr's appt.

Maternity clothes: Yes! Nothing fits anymore. My belly is SO big with this one. I only have 2 -3 pairs of pants that I wear so they are worn out, plus it's going to be close to 100 this week, I may have to break down and buy some capri's or something. I am about to be miserable.

Sleep: Been super tired lately. Sleeping pretty good if my hips aren't killing me. If I do wake up, some nights I have a hard hard time falling back to sleep.

What I miss most: having a variety of clothes that fit, being able to bend over with out feeling like I may vomit, going to the gym to loose weight!!

Cravings: Nothing really. I'm pretty surprised by that.

Symptoms: aching hips, that's about it. I'm feeling pretty good, my meds are still working great. Haven't eaten a tum or had a sign of acid or heartburn in a few weeks!!! Yahooo

Best moment: My doctors appointment, hearing Owen's little heart (160 bpm) and just feeling the huge movements in my belly.

What I'm looking forward to most: Seeing Owen, and seeing Landon with Owen. Seeing how the birth is going to go, VBAC or C-section.

This past week has been busy and long. It seemed like the week drug by. We had a few showings. One person couldn't decide again on our house or the one next to us, and guess what? They went with the one next to us. SO close, and SO frustrating. Greg is leaving soon, and I'm not ready for him to go. Landon has another loose tooth, and it's pretty close to falling out. We've been working outside to get our yard looking nice, it's getting there. Greg has put a lot of work in to it and planted some new grass seed.

I'll post another blog tomorrow and update with the Birthday party we went to yesterday and everything else going on!!!!

Sunday Sunday

Today has been another quiet day. We had a crazy storm last night, I loved it, besides the fact that it was at like 4am and I was wide awake! haha.

Greg and Landon went golfing. Landon loves to go with Greg. They got to come very close to a beaver, or as Landon says, "Fever" today. Greg said it walked right in front of them, slow as can be and got back in to the water. Pretty cool. While they were golfing I cleaned the house and then went to the Commissary. I got there a little after it opened. There was no music going, very empty, it was like I was in my own store, it was so quiet and peaceful. I definitely felt relaxed when I left!

In other good news I've lost 3 pounds since my last Doctors appointment. I go again Wednesday, I hope I can keep it up so I don't get another slap on my hand! (Just kidding)

Landon's been enjoying getting on Greg's laptop and typing away. He's such a goober.

Landon and I went shopping at Kohl's. I haven't been there in a while. I haven't been anywhere really besides Walmart and Target lately. I bought Landon some new shoes, I'm not sure if he will wear them. He is so picky with shoes, but they were on sale for $19.

I went through our spare bedroom closet and packed up all our picture frames and stuff that were sitting in there. We also packed the back of my car up with things to take to storage. We don't have much time before Greg leaves and I need to get as much stuff done as possible!

I'm not ready for Monday to come yet, but I am ready for a fresh new week, and hoping for a great week to come. Happy Sunday.

A Simple Saturday

Today was a simple day. And I liked that.

I woke up about 420 and thought, great, it's almost time to get up, tossed to my other side then realized it was Saturday. I LOVE that. The boys spent the morning watching cartoons and playing in the living room. I cleaned and tided around the house. I seemed to run out of every cleaning supply we use, but I made do with what we had.

I eventually forced myself to get in the shower, then while Greg was giving Landon a bath I ran to Subway to get us lunch. I have been wanting a sandwhich, and since they can toast them there I wanted one. It tasted SOOOOOO good. It for sure hit the spot! Mr. Owen was a happy little guy.

We finally made our way out the door. Landon's been talking about Ladybugs and looking outside relentlessly for one. So we decided to stop at a local feed store and bought him a container of ladybugs! There was probably 100 of them in there. Landon was so happy. There is nothing better and melts my heart then seeing Landon so happy. We stopped at the post office to mail some bills then went to Target. Landon was completely shocked that we told him to bring the ladybugs in. We didn't want them to die in the hot car. The guy at the store told us not to shake them, they were in the fridge and it takes them a little bit to wake up, sometimes people will shake it and half of them would be dead. So when in the store and him carrying them around Landon would tell us, "Be careful, I don't want you to kill half the lady bugs." He sure did listen to the gentleman at the Feed Store!

Once we got home we soaked some raisins in water and then went outside to transfer them to his bug catcher. We warned Landon when we would open it that lots would fly away.......

Landon was super excited, and was wanting to catch the ones with no spots. How funny!

And fly away they did! Lots flew away, lots got into the bug catcher, lots climbed all over Greg's hands and legs....

One of them even bit him in his leg. I laughed my butt off and told him ladybugs don't bite. He Googled something online and I guess sure enough, they do bit. Landon and I had a good laugh, I told Greg he was just too sweet and that bug wanted to burrow in on his leg hairs. Landon thought that was even funnier!

We put a lot on our bushes and rose bushes out front.

And now the rest are sitting on our counter in the bug catcher! Not sure what we plan on doing with them, but Landon sure loves them. I may take some to work Monday and let our kids play with them and release them. Who knows.

After our fun ladybug release we just relaxed. We made a simple dinner then went for a long walk around the neighborhood. A simple day. Something we needed and enjoyed.

Tomorrow Greg and Landon are going golfing, I am going to clean around the house and hit the Commissary. Maybe we will get a call for some showings or something? Wishful thinking :)

30 Week Pregnancy Highlights

30 Week Pregnancy update!

How far along: 30 weeks! I can't believe we are in the 30's now, it's coming quick!

Gender: It's a boy! Owen Gregor Teague

Size of baby: About 3 lbs and the size of a head of cabbage.

Total weight gain: 26lbs

Belly button: Still in and pretty stretched.

Maternity clothes: Yep! Can't go wrong with maternity clothes.

Sleep: I've been very tired again lately. I feel kinda like I did in the first trimester. Just walking sometimes makes me tired and out of breath.

What I miss most: having more than a few shirts to wear, sleeping without tossing and turning.

Cravings: still nothing really. Pickles tasted AMAZING this past weekend. But I'm not 'craving' anything.

Symptoms: My heartburn acid is GONE now because of my WONDERFUL medicine. Praise the Lord. I have the whole side pains, sometimes it hurts to sit, sometimes it hurts to stand. I get out of breath easy and I forget when I bend over sometimes that I'm pregnant and it almost makes me sick! haha.

Best Moment: Finding out I DO NOT have Gestational Diabetes! I love that Landon is in to my belly. Feeling it, asking about the baby and talking about what he can do to help. I also love how much the kids are attached to me at work and constantly hugging me and wanting to snuggle and be on my lap. The kids all love my belly and rub it and want to kiss it. It's pretty sweet.

What I'm most looking forward to: Enjoying my weekend with my boys and taking care of things around the house. I know once this baby is here things are going to change, I want to enjoy this time right now as much as possible!

A little of this, a little of that

This morning when my alarm went off I was dreaming, it was a weird dream, I can't really remember what was happening, but I was laughing, and laughing pretty hard. I guess your day can't really be bad after starting it off laughing!

I worked til 3 today and when I got off I rushed to get Landon and we went shopping. Tomorrow is Greg and I's 9 year wedding anniversary. We went to Academy then Target and headed home. Greg called when we were finishing at Target and wanted to know where we were. He got home early to surprise us and we weren't there! haha. He is so used to us always being there. He said he walked in and was calling us and trying to figure out where we were! Made me laugh.

Tomorrow is our 9 year anniversary. I can't believe it's been 9 years since we got married. It seems a lot longer than that, then it seems like it was just yesterday. About a week and a half after we got married Greg left for basic training. A few months after that we headed to Germany. SO crazy.

Anyway, I have a staff meeting tomorrow night from 6-8, plus it's a Thursday so we haven't really planned anything. We did exchange our gifts tonight. Both of us are terrible at keeping secrets and waiting.

I got Greg some golf shoes, and he got me a pretty purse!

We both got what we asked for this year :)

I also forgot to take and post pictures of the changing table. I bought the pad for the top and the cover to go on it, I love how it all looks together. Can't wait to use it.

I love it!

Weekend in pictures part 2

Saturday night the kids colored Easter eggs together. They each had their own cups of colors and went to town. Landon enjoyed dipping his egg in every color this year, making "cheetah' eggs.

Landon enjoyed drawing on his eggs....

Sunday morning the kids woke up super excited and bouncing off the walls. Once everyone was ready we headed outside to see if the bunny had come.

The kids slowly walked out looking around trying to see eggs or baskets, or something...

Then they darted off once they spied the baskets hidden in the trees.

Once they found their baskets they went on the egg hunt. They were good at it this year, and it was fun to hide the eggs.

Yes Martin looked so cute in his batman undie pj's and tie!

Awe, Happy 1st Easter Andreas!

Once they quickly found all the eggs we went inside and the checked everything out and started munching on some candy. We made breakfast and ate, then the kids played some more, we took some pictures in the bluebonnets, the kids played, we ate Easter lunch, the kids played we dug in to this yummy cake...

Then shortly after we headed home. It was a nice quiet weekend with the family!

Remember we were supposed to have a showing on Saturday? Well my sweet friend Meagan offered to come and check on the house and scoop the cat box for us. Well Saturday morning about 1020am we got a phone call that they cancelled the showing. UGH! No way. So I texted Meagan and told her not to worry about going over to our house. We were pretty bummed. Well when we got home Sunday night we noticed the fans were off, the shower curtains were pulled back a tiny bit and the closets weren't shut all the way. What? We were confused, and embarrassed. I'm sure kitty had been to the bathroom. The house smelled when we got home. I couldn't believe it.

SO yesterday Greg called our Realtor to see what had happened. She didn't know they cancelled, and said she had down in her books a showing from 1130-1230 and 12-1. I guess the 1130 cancelled. But we NEVER got a call for a 12 showing. We had no idea anyone was coming. What if we were home? SO weird. She apologized and was going to figure out what happened. So then about 130 yesterday we got a phone call for a showing from 3-330. Yay! So we tidied up and headed out. Today about 230 we got a phone call that the people who came yesterday wanted a second showing tonight from 530-630. OMG! We were so excited. I got home a little before 3 and started deep cleaning my already clean house. Greg got home early, mowed the yard, straightened the garage and made the outside look nice. Just as I was finishing and Greg was about to change Re-max called. It was about 450, they called to cancel the showing. I could have fallen to the ground and cried right then and there. I did not sleep well last night and have been in pain all day, I just wanted to come home and relax and take a cat nap. But instead I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned. We were SO bummed, again

Oh, I'll end with some good news, I got my results from my 3 hour glucose and I passed! I don't have gestational diabetes! I was so shocked and double checked with the nurse. She assured me I only had 1 bad number and the rest were good! Yay! I am still on a diet though, can't gain weight and am supposed to be on a 1,800 calorie a day diet, UGH!

More pictures from the weekend!

Friday after Greg got off work we headed down to Dripping Springs for the Easter weekend. The drive was so pretty. The wildflowers have bloomed and were out in full force. There were so many people stopping for those photo opportunities, I wanted to stop, but we never seemed to.

The car ride went pretty fast, we arrived around 5 and it was so nice to get out and stretch and walk around. 3.5 hours in a car at almost 30weeks pregnant was a long time. My poor legs were tired, my hips were aching and my feet kept falling asleep. I had to keep switching butt cheeks to sit on, moving my feet and stretching. Ugh! Landon was happy when we got there, he went running around on Oma and Opa's property.

The bluebonnets are so pretty and they have such a nice patch of them right in their backyard.

Now they say you aren't supposed to pick bluebonnets, I've heard you can, but everyone says you can't. Landon was DYING to pick a flower, and since they were Oma's....

We let him pick one. He was SO happy, but of course Greg gave him a hard time that the cops were going to get him. Does anyone know if you really can or can't pick them?

Saturday we got up and went in to Austin for a few hours. When we got back Ava and Martin were there, and the chaos began! haha!!

They ran around outside and played in the sand box...

Played some Beyblade then went outside again. They were very hesitant with those dang bluebonnets.

Martin got caught picking one! He was so scared, he kept telling me his daddy told him he couldn't pick one.

They ended up making a beautiful flower cake castle.

We ventured to the front and they washed my car!

Then washed Uncle Sam's car, and played in the water since the weather was SO nice.

After this we played outback some more then ate dinner. Shortly after dinner we colored Easter Eggs. I'll post those pictures tomorrow and pictures from Easter Morning!
