15 Weeks (A day late)

Yesterday I was 15 weeks! I can't fathom that next week I will be 4 months, and in another month or so I will get to see the baby again and hopefully find out if it's a boy or girl!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How far along: 15 weeks 1 day

Size of baby: About the size of an apple

Total weight gain/loss: 9lbs (ew)

Maternity clothes: Still my one pair of pants and one shirt. That's it. My normal clothes are tight, my shirts are starting to not fit, and it bothers me! With Landon I wore A LOT of my normal clothes most of my pregnancy! Ick ick ick, this scares me!!!

Sleep: Been sleeping pretty good. One bad thing, if I wake up at night I am having a hard time falling back asleep. This week most days I was up by 330am or 4. Not fun.

What I miss most: Clothes fitting, not worrying about weight gain.

Cravings: I think I am over my pickles now, I am digging flavored sparkling water now!

Symptoms: Round ligiment pains. OUCH! Mainly at night when I roll over or sleep on my side.

Best Moment: Just making it this far!

What I am looking forward to most: My next appointment on the 10th, hearing the heartbeat.

Like my new red Tom's I got for Christmas? I do! Landon wanted to be in all the pictures today. He is still talking about his baby sister and he will tell me I have a big belly now, and always touches it. He has no idea how big my belly is going to get! :)

I have to include a picture of the little man. He got a scooter for Christmas from Ava and so we went outside today to ride it. It's almost 80 out today, kinda warm, so we had to take advantage of the weather! We also bought Landon a new helmet so he'd be safe!

2011 was a crazy year, lots of up's and downs, but has definitely has ended great. Can't wait for 2012 and to see what it has in store for us! Happy New Year.

This and That

Tonight is going to be a random post about this and that.

Yesterday morning when Landon woke up his poor little throat was bothering him. Since Greg is off and I was working, Greg made an appointment to get it checked out. I got off work a little early, so I came home, and we rushed to Walmart to get Greg's flat tire fixed and then headed to Landon's appointment. His appointment was at 300, we got in the office at 245. The waiting room was jam packed. There were SO many people in there. Kids were coughing, crying, vomiting, sneezing, screaming and everything in between. Landon just sat on our lap and watched a cartoon. Not sure how he heard it though. We started to notice he was getting warm. They finally called us back about 345, ugh. Turns out Landon had a fever. His throat looked red, his chest sounded clear, his ears were clear and his tummy and stuff seemed fine. They tested him for strep, of course that was negative. They said it sounded like he had a sinus infection so they put him on some antibiotics. By the time we got home we were ALL exhausted.

Landon had a rough night last night, woke up a bunch. Finally at 430 he was crying his neck was going to break and it hurt. I gave him some Motrin and he layed on the couch and watched a cartoon. By the time I left for work he seemed good. So when I finally got off work I called Greg and Landon was in tears again. He was crying pretty hard. He complained of his neck again and I started to get nervous. He was pretty upset and just balling. We finally got him to drink some juice and have some crackers. He seemed to cheer up a bit. He begged to go to Hastings, and since he seemed ok we went. He's been fine ever since. It scared me. When he said his neck hurt again, a million thing went running through my head. I just hope my little man starts to feel better soon and is ok. I don't like to see him not feeling well.

That picture was Christmas night, Greg was reading him a story and he said, "Daddy, I just need to close my eyes for a minute, keep reading the story." He was out like a light. Poor baby. He was tired, and not feeling well.

Tonight has been a great night, we opened more of Landon's Christmas gifts, he opened his school house from Sam, Katie and Martin.

It's really cute, and he really likes it. This is his first Playmobil set. I've seen them before, and Martin has some that we've seen and played with, so it is pretty cool to have one of our own.

I enjoyed putting it together and playing 'school' with the boy. Of course all the kids were kids from his class and the teacher was Mrs. Mayes!

Landon's also been using his desk.

It's perfect for him and he really likes it! Definitely a great purchase! (The stools hurt my bottom though, I think because I have a big butt, ha!)

Greg made Belgian waffles and bacon for dinner. I love breakfast for dinner, it sure was good. I actually made a BLT with the waffles, YUM! (yes, weird pregnancy eating, I know, Greg always looks at me like I'm crazy!)

Christmas 2011

I don't even know where to begin! We left for Dripping Springs on Thursday afternoon. We were planning on going Friday but decided to leave a day earlier to have some extra time. Thursday morning was a busy and stressful one. Since I had the day off, Landon and I took my car to the dealership to get my oil changed, and my state inspection. I had a weird noise too and wanted them to check it out. What I thought was going to be a cheap and quick visit turned in to a 4 hour $400 trip. Yeah.....

Friday we got up and went shopping in Austin. First we went to the Round Rock Outlets. I really wanted to go to Gap, and I am glad I did. They were having a GREAT sale, and I walked out wishing I would have bought some more. After shopping we went to eat at Chuy's and then headed to another mall. Landon was acting kinda weird at lunch and was complaining of his throat.

Saturday morning Alex, Jennifer, Ava and Andrea's arrived, then shortly after Martin, Sam and Katie got there! Then the loudness began! The kids were beyond excited and going bonkers, playing and having fun. Landon seemed a tad wheezy at times, sneezing and saying his throat hurt, but nothing past that.

Christmas eve we had all kinds of finger foods to eat, visited and hung out while the kids went crazy.

Christmas morning Landon woke up not feeling well. Nasty cough, kinda warm, still complaining of his throat.

Santa sure was good to us this year! We got a ton of stuff!!!

The left is our stuff, right next to it is Martin, Sam and Katie, then Alex, Jen and Ava's, then Kenny and Tina! TONS of gifts.

Landon was excited when we told him Santa came, but like I said he wasn't feeling well and was coughing. The kids made sure Santa ate his cookies and the reindeer ate their food....

Then they say around and checked out the gifts while they waited for everyone to be ready.

Then the madness began!

The "Crime Syndicate" that Landon asked Santa for!

Aunt Katie gave Landon a Wonder Woman tin filled with Wonder Woman figures! Oh my. He was SO happy!

Mr. Andreas slept the whole time!

Greg had Landon pick out a gift for me. He even wrapped it himself. He was SO happy for me to open it, he wanted to open it himself :)

It was a beautiful necklace! (I'll have to take a picture of it)

Once all the gifts were open and the kids were well under way opening packages and playing, Kenny and Greg had a Belgian Waffle cook off. See we bought a waffle maker for Kenny, then found out they bought one for themselves for Christmas. So Greg kept the one we bought and the decided to see who's was better!

Um, Greg ended up putting too much batter in his...oops!

Then it was breakfast time!

Greg's waffles were the square one's, Kenny's were the circles, I ate Greg's, they tasted pretty good.

From those who sampled both said they tasted the same!!

Andreas is SO cute. He was very smiley this time and we would get a giggle out of him too.

Such a sweet little guy.

And the Christmas aftermath! Whew! Those kids sure did get a lot of stuff. This Christmas was definitely a fun one, it was nice to have all the kids there for the first time. We spent the rest of the day playing with all the new toys. Landon was still a little under the weather most of the day though. We had a nice dinner together then Sam and Katie left shortly after.

Today we packed the car, I mean packed it. It was jam packed with stuff. It was a nice quick drive home, Greg and I talked the entire time, Landon watched some movies and slept. Now we are home, getting things put away and settling back in!

Hope you had a great Christmas!

Christmas Eve

I can't believe it's Christmas Eve! All the tiny window's in our Advent calendar are open and the chocolate is gone..

Which means Santa will be arriving tonight! The kids were busy preparing for Santa's arrival.

First thing they had to do was make some reindeer food.

They mixed all sorts of things like oatmeal, sunflower seeds, marshmallow's, glitter and graham crackers. You know, the stuff reindeer love to eat right?

Then it was time to spread it out. Since Oma and Opa don't have a chimney they had to spread it by the front door so they can munch on it while Santa is delivering the gifts.

It's cold and rainy this year so they ran outside as fast as they could to spread it out then ran right back in...

The tree is ready, nice and empty, ready for LOTS of presents.

The kids each picked out a cookie for Santa, poured some milk and Ava wrote him a letter from all three of them.

I think the kids got all their work done, for now they are all snuggled in their beds.

Happy Christmas Eve Y'all!

14 Weeks

It's that time for a weekly up date. I should have done one last week but failed to get a picture.

How Far Along: 14 Weeks
Size of baby: About the size of a small lemon.
Gender: Still too early! I think it's a boy though, Landon is dying for a sister...uh oh!
Maternity Clothes: One pair of maternity pants and  sweater, both are way too big, but comfy. I am at the in between stage and I hate it. I just look fat right now, not pregnant. Ick!
Weight gain: 9lbs (I think)
Movement: I think I may be feeling some movement. The first time was Sunday night, I was sitting on the couch and felt a very, very tiny little flutter. I also have felt that same type of flutter a few times, at random weird times.
Sleep: I still love sleep. I am sleeping great at night, and I don't feel the need to nap any more, but, if I sit down I can pretty much fall asleep at any time. I don't know if that makes any sense!
Symptoms: A weird pain in my leg today, think it's from all the walking. Some stomach aches/cramps and feels like stretching. Luckily my headaches have seemed to go away.
Cravings: Pickles! Yum.
Best moment this week: The possibility of feeling the baby flutter

Can you believe tomorrow is Christmas eve? Eek, I am pretty excited!

Landon's Class Christmas Party

This morning was Landon's class Christmas party! We were all excited about it, I was happy to be able to go in Landon's class and check it out, and watch how he is. We had to show up early to decorate and get things ready. The kids were supposed to be in the room by 830, they got there at 9. I had to leave by 930 to be at work. That was the only thing that stunk.

When the kids walked in they were SO happy to see all their parents waiting.

There was a TON of food. They had pigs in a blanket, donuts, muffins, pancakes, cookies, pretzels, juice boxes and more donuts! The kids pigged out!

Once the kids got their bags put away they got to choose three items to start with. Landon only wanted a chocolate doughnut and pretzels.

Once the kids ate, they did a gingerbread boy/girl craft. After that I had to leave. I was sad. Greg got to stay and take pictures of the rest of the day and help with the clean up.

One thing I loved was looking at Landon's stuff around the class. Check out his snowman he colored. It was the best one up there! (Or so we thought!)

After the ornaments it was book exchange time. They played music I think and when it stopped the person that had the book got to keep it.

Landon was lucky, he got a great book! It's a Disney book with lots of stories in it! Greg said once the book exchange was done they sang some songs......

Then the party was over! Landon had a great time, I thought it was fun, I just wish I had longer. The kids seemed to enjoy it, especially having all the parents around.

I am now off til next Tuesday. Landon has a half day tomorrow then I am going to spend the next few days with him. I have some last minute shopping to do, mainly my family and Greg. Hopefully the shelves aren't wiped clean :)
